Wordpress Privacy default

Hey Everyone

There probably is a post on this that I didn't notice before on this, But I've not seen one so I'll put it on just in case to maybe help!

A few weeks ago WordPress updated...
Since that update anyone who has made a new blog using WordPress

It will automatically be set to a default:

I would like to block search engines, but allow normal visitors

Where as we want it set to:

I would like my blog to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Sphere, Technorati) and archivers

Simply log into you're WordPress dashboard, Goto "Settings" Then to "privacy"
And select the correct one.

Hope this helps.

Wow! Thanks for this information. Usually when I go through my blog setup I check those things and make sure that it is not set to PRIVATE!

I have a few blogs coming up and will have to double check those settings.

Do you know if this setting would reset after an upgrade (my guess is no...at least I hope not!)

    Peace, DJ Bill
