Designing a Business Website - Whats the best platform?

Good day Warriors,

I have recently offered to build a website for someone but I am not sure what platform to use?

Should I use HTML, Joomla, Wordpress etc :confused:

At the moment I am a little lost so I have decided to turn to you. What platform do you web designers use and what templates?

The site will not be very big or very complicated, basically a front page, contact us, about us, example of work and maybe a gallery.

Sounds like a job for Wordpress.

Yep depending on what you want to accomplish and how familiar you are with the process of building sites. Joomla, Wordpress or Xsitepro are good options.

If it is such a simple site, then stick to basic static html. (Better SEO if done right - proven).

If the clients want to be able modify the content themselves, then wordpress or joomla. If it was a big site I would then suggest drupal.
