Backing Up My Sites ~ Did I Do This Right?

I would very much appreciate input on if I did this right. I tried to follow the advise on here.
Most of my sites are static so I don't need duplicates or tons of back ups.

1. I installed WP BackUp by Blog Traffic Exchange
~ Copied the Image Directory, Theme and Plug In Backup to zip folders on my computer.
~ Set interval between backups at 1 week
~ It says it goes in this directory..../home3/xxxxxxx/public_html/websitename/wp-content/bte-wb NOT SURE WHERE THIS IS?

Questions:
Do I need to have copies of the theme, image directory and plug in emailed to me or am I covered with the zip file?

2. Installed WP DB Manager by Lester

~ Sent 1 copy to myself in Gzip file. And arranged for once a week backups to my host panel.
~ Then I went to my CPANEL and see that it is working correctly

Questions:
I notice copies are in there of my BackUpDB. Can these build up and how often should I delete them?
Also should I email backups to myself periodically? The backups to cpanel were auto matic but not the ones to my email.

Finally I made a copy using TOOLS of my DB and exported it and saved it to a file.

Hope you will let me know if I did this correctly.
