Check out Entrepreneurs Journey by Yaro Starak. He writes quality content there about blogging and has made a living with his blog for years.

I have downloaded his free report "Blog Profits Blueprint" and have found it to be very helpful.

He also has podcasts with a lot of case studies featuring people who make their living blogging in all types of different niches.

You need to find somebody who is doing it and copy what they are doing. Somebody who is getting results! I see so many people build a blog with the intent of making sales before they even get any traffic. The biggest mistake... You need to build a following first then monetize it but to try and monetize it first your starting at the end which does not work...

      , that is fun.

I think the best advice is to start doing it. Set it up and write something. Then you will know where you are, and where you want to go from there.

Well, i don't think you set up your blog to make money. It seems like you are doing it for fun. To make money from blogging. Your focus should be in listbuilding in your niche with your blog post. Because the benefit of building a list is immense. As your list grows, you can email your list with your new blogpost and past blog post. When they visit they will see your lead magnet in your blogpost. if they opt in good. You then market to them through their email. it works everytime. if you are focused on making money by building your email list with every blog post, it's just a matter of time..i hope this helps..You will be surprised how success will locate you if you focus on list build..read previous post from me..left some helpful clues..i hope this helps..

fun does not pay the bills.
you have to be serious and find a niche even if you do not enjoy. work is work man. my suggestion is start with google blog spot. very easy to set up in minutes. add adsense which is owned by google. and get some unique article written from www.upwork.com and boom...you have a blog.
then promote your blog on instagram and pintrest...etc

There is no 'best' way to learn blogging.

You will make mistakes along the way no matter what.

However here are some simple steps:

1- Pick a Niche you are 'already' knowledgeable in. DON'T pick a niche (that you know nothing about) just because you think it is a good profitable niche.

2- Pick a Domain with your Main 'Keywords' in it.

    3- Get hosting.

4- Start writing. Write helpful, useful original content that is rich in your expertise and knowledge. NEVER steal other people's content.

5- Stay consistent (if you can write one post daily do this everyday).

6- Promote your content. Most people who start blogging forget to do this part and simply just wait to hopefully get noticed by Google and the others. In the past most people 'manipulated' SEO and most got penalized and had to start all over again. Don't do this.

Instead...Learn about how to 'promote' your content. Do a search on it above in the search bar or do a Google search.

The idea of 'promotion' is to get 'targeted' eye balls on it (people who can use your helpful content). You can share on social medias or any other platform that could use your helpful content.

As I said above, you will make mistakes but if you learn from your mistakes and keep moving forward eventually you will get the hang of it...and the traffic that goes along with successful blogging.

Lastly...It could take you up to a full year to start getting good results even if you wrote posts every day.

The best way to learn anything really is just by doing it. This is usually the fastest way and cuts out all the theoretical BS!

Just start writing about things that interest you, but that you think would interest a good amount of other people too. Forget about the keyword research, or if something will sell and all that jazz. Right now just start writing and expressing yourself and developing your voice.

As you continue to write about different things, you will gradually start to see which type of content you're writing is attracting and interesting to people. This is where you can start to zero in like a hawk and scale up in those areas. This strategy is also a way to find some great untapped and profitable niches that no one really ever thinks of.

Here's one very basic tip: OBSERVE. What are your hobbies and interests? Search for some blogs about them. Then, observe the blogs in these niches (topics) that you like most. Then, try to create something like these blogs.

Let a couple of people read your blog, and ask for their honest opinion and constructive criticisms. If you believe you are already cleared in this phase and ready to move on to the next level, try to insert some affiliate marketing in your blog.

First thing's first- enhance your blogging skills first. Then, get back to us if you think you're ready to learn more about affiliate marketing.

    Good luck!

  • hi, I have a wordpress blog but am also on blogger.com. I sometimes write my own content but on occasion I find PLR articles and edit them to make them more personalised to me. this takes a lot of work out of the writing as you only have to edit. this is great if you're stuck for ideas or get writer's block!

you can also outsource the writing to sites like fiverr.com or upwork.com. best of luck in your endeavours!

2 to 3 times in a week is too much if you ask me. You sure need time to promote each post to give it some traction to show up in google search that is if you did everything right seo wise. Secondly, i think 1 post a week is good. if you have tools promoting for you then 2 to 3 times will work just fine. i hope this helps because i don't think it's good to write a post that no one reads. Take time to promote each post. thats my recommendation

A lot of good suggestions here. I'd also perfect my craft by posting here or in relevant groups in Facebook. You can post a paragraph or two and then expand them for your blog. Watching relevant videos on YouTube and putting the message into words is another way of getting started.

Also, add links to your post headlines on platforms like Twitter. Be sure to add good graphics and see what kind of response you get. If you aren't able to master the art of writing good headlines nobody will read your articles in the first place. There are a lot of free ebooks and some good courses on this topic. Check them out.

Lastly, your question is not unlike asking how to write the great American novel. Many people are simply not endowed with the innate talent to accomplish this and many others have absolutely no interest in cultivating the art. Keep in mind that you can use a freelancer or work with PLR products or do videos or podcasts. In fact, many have moved on from blogging to create a YouTube channel. Why not do both?

What niche do you want to blog about.

I ask because once you have this figured out then you can check out the big blogs in your niche.

As well as the big forums as well.

What are they blogging about--what topics come up in the forums constantly?

Check out the big blogs--how often do they post-what do they promote on them.

Do they promote with banners, there own products--etc.

Also, what are they doing to build a list--an e-course a free report, etc.

Once you have this you are set.

Got a domain, get hosting, and get a wordpress theme that you like--do not be like me, when I first started, I had to have the perfect theme and wasted so much time looking for it.

Grab one you like--have a header made for it either here on the WF or on fiver--same for the your facebook page--as you can post snippets of content about your blog posts on facebook--with a link to the whole post.

    And then get writing.

One thing I have learned over the years, do not start a posting schedule that you cannot keep up.

You would be better to start posting three days per week--and increasing it over time if you can--to five days per week,

Than starting out at five days per week and needing to decrease your posting frequency.

    Hope this Helps.

The best way to learn blogging is to start.... sounds obvious but if you read and learn too much before you start your style will be tainted and I think its much better to have your own style and that will come with time.

Just crack on and make a start and then when you hit speed bumps ask questions and from there you will start learning

if your goal is to profit online.

then blogging is the hardest mountain to climb since it takes so much time.

its best you look into driving traffic (paid or from social media) to a niche targeted squeeze page with a lead magnet.

but if you must do it by blogging then i recommend Neil Patel over at quicksprout.com

good advice..love that..keep it up. You can never regrete it if you focus on list building and marketing to that list. blogging sure takes time although if you write good content it can make you money over the long run after you have grown your email list to a very big size..you can earn from good adsense etc besides marketing to your list.

Find the niche you want to blog in, if you haven't already.

Then find the top 25 blogs in that niche and add them to your RSS reader. After that spend three hours a day minimum reading the posts on those blogs.

Don't watch TV, no Netflix, or even YouTube. Reading the posts will take time.

When you have done this for a couple of weeks ask yourself if you can can create better content than what you read. If the answer's yes, you start blogging.

Forget the big names. Anyone can make money online although there are some basic skills needed to be able to do it alone yourself. like creating ebook covers, setting up your website in such a way that it sucks in new leads etc. basically it entails Creating a squeeze page and offer your lead magnet to suck in more leads to your autoresponder and market to the list. Thats all. very easy right but most people still don't get it thats why they follow the so called gurus that never delivers..What i mean is that for every product you intend to promote and make money from, you need a lead magnet to market that product and it got to be valuable. i hope this helps..

A blog is a direct communication tool between you and your customers and readers. It allows you to communicate with them in a much more personal way than any single article ever could and it allows you to generate content on the fly.

Blogs are easy to use, without any complex technical tools in place and no programming knowledge necessary. You can install one in 5 minutes, write a post in the same way you would on a word processor, and update your theme and style in seconds, often times for free.

    Thanks a lot,

As much as I want to help you, you have to be resourceful as well by finding out what works and what does not.

  • Go on YouTube and look for tutorials, specifically about "How to create a Wordpress blog". Try to divide your process into steps like "uploading Wordpress to your host"..."Learn FTP"....."buying a domain". Then actually apply what you have learned. YouTube is clearly enough of a source for "create a blog". Hope it helps.
