    Too many people fixate on the number of people on their list, rather than the quality of that list.

    In my way of doing things, your opt-in offer/incentive combo has two jobs.

    First, attract and convert those who should be on your list.

    Second, discourage the people who should not be on your list. Not every offer is suitable for every person. You're actually doing a favor for both of you if you help a wrong person sort themselves out rather than in. The person sorting themselves out saves time and avoids aggravation. You get a more engaged list(s), better open rates and (if you're like most) lower autoresponder bills.

    Sounds like a win-win to me.

    I am also in process of developing my list but my conversion its low maybe because my incentive its not so quality i copied from google .I think i should work harder to create a better books that will atract people to subscribe to my list

    to build the best incentive just put yourself in the place of your custumers what are they worries their fear their sickness build your incentive from that and they gonna see your message as a problem solver not an ad
