I was wondering if its actually legal to use the jack-jacker WP plugin to earn money via CPA offers. Specifically, if you do not contact the owner of the original website and still jack his site, is that ilegal?

Leave aside the moral of the plugin, just wanted to know if its actually legal. Might sound stupid yeah, but just wanted to know your thoughts guys. Could mention one guy who is promoting a WSO that is promising that jacking sites without consent is not illegal...

I suggest you ask him to check his moral compass, too. I guess this is what is meant by, "Anything for a quick buck."

The use of Jack Jacker isn't illegal in my opinion since the website you are jacking info onto your domain is allowing this to happen in a technical sense.

BUT your viewers PROBALLY believe they really are on CNN's website for example.

Then they click ANY link on the page and get sent to YOUR affiliate offer.

YOU ARE TRICKING your audience into believing that CNN is endorsing the affiliate offer you are promoting.

The choice is yours to make my friend

I've certainly seen sleazier ways of marketing..... like cookie stuffing.

IMHO its illegal regardless the situation. Most of the website, in their terms of policy, clearly state they do NOT allow third party user to reproduce their content. Therefore, it should be consider as a violation of copyright, right?

How is this any different than simply outright stealing someone else's content?

    It isn't.

Grow Up - If you are working with CPA then why you think about illegal or legal.
ALL CPA IS NOT illegal also.

FOR EMAIL SUMMIT - Do you know they never give any gift card or any think like this just collect email. It's not legal also. For Biz offer - there no job or anything but they collect info. You are promoting that offer to people. For trial Offer there are no trial - behind you have to pay shipping cost or some fee.

So if you are promoting such those things. Just forgot legal issue about jacker.

Yeah - If jack jacker illegal than masking also illegal but top affiliate also do masking.

I think, You got your answer

There's a reason why the legitimate affiliate programs do not allow masking. I guess that is why this abomination of a plugin seems to be targeted at the CPA world.

Instead of wasting time on these type of shoddy shortcuts (and believe me this won't last) why not put some elbow grease into what you do versus siphoning off other people's hard work.

I feel like taking a shower after reading some of these comments.

He ignored you because he is a young smart ass who thinks he's perfect. These idiots think they're bullet proof until the FBI shows up on their doorstep on Friday and lock up their ass until Monday and by that time they have accessed everything and they will find something. They then charge you with enough to scare the shit out of you so you plead out and end up in club fed for a year or two. I know of a dozen IM idiots who have disappeared for a few years and then reappeared on the scene.

Whether you think it is illegal or not is irrelevant. It is what the FBI says if you end up on their radar and I'm sure Brett will be there shortly.

It depends on how you use it, IMO. If used as advertised, I think it's a serious issue as you're taking away someone else's right to express themselves and pretending to be them, "jacking" their authority, reputation and content.

On the other hand, I've used a jacker when sending people to an affiliate offer. It's my page and my traffic and since 95-99% of people I send to the affiliate offer won't buy, I don't want to totally lose that traffic that I'm not being paid to send to that page. I'm not using their fame or content and am sending people in the hopes to make both the vendor and me money.
