Step by step tutorial or course on course marketing?

I'm building courses, free and paid, and want to see if there are highly regarded tutorials or courses that show what to do for preselling and building lists and course promotion. I plan to use udemy but also teachable. The more marketing efforts will likely be directed to the teachable site (custom domain) for the long term seo benefits.

Searching for this information is difficult, because searching for "course on course marketing" ect just yields courses on internet marketing and not necessarily marketing for courses themselves.

I'm willing to pay money, but not really interested in the courses that are like $700. I'll pay up to $100 if it's tried and true and very detailed action plan.

Thanks!

What you need to do is optin to list and follow the sales process.

When you signed up for Udemy you were in the middle of a sales process. What's Udemy doing when you signed up?

You can niche it down to your own competition and reverse engineer their sales funnels.

I know you're looking for step-by-step hand holding but your own real life experience and how you interacted is pretty much all you need. Take all the good points from multiple sales funnels, condense down to a simple plan and tweak as needed based on your own data over time.

Getting people to the opt-in I think is what my biggest struggle will be. There are a few email list sequences I can leverage but getting them into the initial list is what I'm tryin to think through. I will have a few mini courses to give away - but getting these free courses in front of people - that's the question. SEO will likely be 6-9 months out since I have no blog yet, so I guess social media and paid traffic?

The fastest way to get started would be to leverage other peoples traffic, example, established niche sites, youtube channels, etc... You could do a 50/50 split on front end profit.

You'll get a lot of partner rejections but it only takes one yes to get started.

There's a lot of folks on the web that have traffic but don't know how to monetize their traffic. Example, Youtube is full of these types of people that have massive traffic yet they're running penny ads instead of higher profit product ads.

Create a good niche product and show people with traffic what you have to offer. Again, it only takes one yes reply to get started.

Twitter is probably the CHEAPEST vehicle for building the kind of list you have in mind.

I'm assuming your stuff can be reduced to questions?

I'm assuming you can come up with many different categories for your stuff?

If so, check out Twitter. Get yourself a free tweet scheduler, format your 'leadbait' stuff right (funnel them to your squeeze page), and get an AR sequence going that SELLS.

Twitter is pretty much niche specific.

Nobody in the niche I target is on Twitter.

To the point about niches, my topic is finance and accounting courses, geared for aspiring finance professionals. So LinkedIn is probably my best bet.
