Started 3 affiliate blogs (i have prior some modestly successful experience) 8 weeks ago. Knew that once one got traction it would be my primary focus and would nurse the other 2 along.
Traffic quickly built to 200-300 visitors per day within 5 weeks. Today i had a development in my niche that i was able to take a lead role on and traffic spike today (at last check) is 1052.
Monetized primarily with Amazon, a specific product accessory page with 3 other affiliates. Adsense is on page, but it pays so little that i really just hope it helps google analyze my site better.
So after 8 weeks i'm on page 1 of of google for two keyword searches, page 3 for another.
Q1:So i have no benchmark for how i'm progressing: is this normal? high? low?
Amazon clicks and revenue are increasing almost every day....which is mind blowing.(The niche I have chosen has a very high priced ($999-$1500) product with lots of accessories so i'm amazed when i see three purchases in the last week totalling $3k for only 3 products. But i'm certainly not going to complain.
Q2: Russian bloggers picked up my scent and almost a 3rd of my traffic today came from them, as well as overspill in UK, Germany and Switzerland. What Amazon link localizer is the best in the communities experience?
Q3: I know this is an odd question, but is this typical??? I'm super chuffed and how quick the pickup is on my niche site but have no barometer to compare it with. Oh yeah, another blogger emailed me today asking if he could purchase a backlink (he called it a do-follow) to his site from mine in a single post....so that must be a positive too?
Thanks for any insight or comment you can provide on my 1st world problems!
