After having your website running, you need to promote it in order to get traffic and revenue also. There're many ways to promote, both free and paid methods.

Free methods such as: Doing SEO, Social Media Content sharing, Youtube sharing, Facebook Content (Fanpage, Group), Twitter, Google+, Pinterest,...and many other channels that give you free using and promotions

Paid methods such as: Doing SEM such as Google Adwords, GDN, Solo ads, Facebook ads, banner ads,...

So it depends on your budgets that you will choose which methods can give you the best effort, or you need to combine between free & paid methods in order to get the effective results

    I hope this helps.

Hi, I don't know what niche you're working in, so it is difficult to give an exact answer, but you could start off by linking to an information page on your website from a Facebook post or an Instagram post.

If you target people using an image which captures their attention, and link to a page which gives them valuable information, you'll get real and, more importantly, target subscribers from your new website.

    Hope that helps

Definitely SEO. Just like you, I too launched my website few months ago and completely focused on SEO. The paid advertising won't work. That's probably waste of money for the new business start ups. Drive some organic traffic to get real subscribers.

Do you want "subscribers" or "BUYERS" ?

The last big ecommerce site we launched the day the website went live we started sending traffic from Adwords targeting buyer keywords for our niche with an ad spend budget set at $30 a day.

Within the first 24 hours the website had generated just over $1100 in revenue and we knew we had a winner.

That first month finished up with $17300 in sales from a total spend on advertising of $922.

Over the coming months we closely managed the adwords campaigns weeding out the phrases that were non productive and found a sweet spot where we could generate maximum returns for our efforts. - this is always an ongoing process but as you grow you can afford to employ someone to manage this for you.

We did build out content and some social but paid traffic was the profit driver.

Because we attracted the best prospects through our marketing and then we provided them with the best product and service in our market we quickly gained organic ranking through social shares and links from a wide variety of influencers within the groups of the ideal customers we were targeting.

Now if you are not selling anything then sure just sit back and wait for SEO to work but if you do have something you want to sell don't sit around doing busywork trying to rank.

Go out and target your ideal customer's through advertising.

Once you have paying customers and you generate some positive cash-flow it is easy to pay for content creation and other "nice to have" services to add weight to your business.

      Here's the thing.

If you know what your ideal customer looks like and where they hang out. . .

. . .then you can target them through advertising.

      and

The best thing is you will quickly identify whether whatever you are selling is going to be hit rather than waiting around wondering whether you will get a sale or not.

      Best regards,

      Ozi

Congrats on your success Oziboomer! Could you elaborate more on the adwords? Did you purchase a course on learning these principles or was this something you already learned in the past and used the knowledge you learned? Wanting to do adwords or either FB PPC but some people have told me to wait first because I'll be wasting a lot of money while I master the strategy. But hey, how will I ever know if I don't start. Just don't know exactly where to start. I've seen where it's offered on Youtube for free and also where people are charging $3k to learn the technique.

          Hi Latanyalrj,

I started out pretty much teaching myself adwords when it first launched.

Later I read "The ultimate guide to Adwords" by Perry Marshall and co-authored by Mike Rhodes.

Then I subscribed and still subscribe to Mike Rhodes forum which is where you will get a full adwords course and all the adwords guys hang out. Mike is very helpful but so is everyone.

I would suggest you read the book if on a budget because it gives you a good foundation but if you can afford the subscription join Mike's forum and you will not be disappointed.

You would recoup any expenditure in membership rapidly because you learn from one of the best if not the best adwords guy who does it for real with a real agency.

Mike also covers FB stuff so that would be my recommendation.

The other good training on Facebook stuff is the certification course on paid traffic from DiigitalMarketer. I've done their training and am certified but their focus is heavier on Facebook traffic than Google and also more on strategy etc.

Mike's stuff goes from basic to super advanced and it is always updated. There is a lot of strategy inside but a ton of technical stuff that you won't find out about anywhere else because no-one is really going as deep as Mike Rhodes.

You can find out about his premium forum here--->
          https://agencysavvy.com

I'm a bit fortunate that I was grandfathered into his latest offering but I'd still say what you get at the current price is seriously good value if you can afford it and want to master paid traffic.

He does have some other short courses and as I say if you just want to read and follow the basics you can do that from the book.

          Hope that helps.

          Best regards,

          Ozi

    Hi there,

From the begining of your Business Website, develop traffic attention using SMM (social media marketing) first. Be care to collect relevant emails for your particular niche. Then you will get more tips from our experts here. I think spending more money or jumping in day will not effective....just proper web analysis and promoting in proper place can make you relax...........

SEO takes times. If you want to see if your site is converting you should advertise it first. Then i would properly A/B test my ads to see which one is converting better. Once you know your site is converting you could focus on a long term strategy such as SEO.

You can begin by interacting which you are already doing at this forum.

Besides sharing and asking, take time to answering other people's questions as well.

You can also do the same at Facebook groups and blogs related to internet marketing.

Someone once told me that your network is your net worth.

    Which is true.

Though it takes me quite a while to understand.

May I ask what niche you are going into?

And what kind of website are you creating?

Is it a blog or landing page?

Also, are you promoting your own products or others as affiliate?

Whatever you are doing, the best way to get subscribers is to get and network with a group of people related to your niche.

Niche as in the topic you are interested in. Can be internet marketing, health or personal development just to name a few.

Then go to forums which you can find by typing in Google your niche forums.

Also go and get a free account with Facebook and Meetup.

Facebook is a social networking site that everyone knows. But what not everyone knows is that you can find and join relevant groups to your niche and form your own as well.

You can also create your own fanpages and place ads as well .

Meetup is another social networking site in which you can not only interact online but meet the members as well in live social networking events.

But whichever platform you joined, there are golden rules to follow.

    1. Do NOT Spam People By Selling Them Your Offers Rightaway. MOST leaders from forums, FB and Meetup groups do not like it and will remove you rightaway.

    2. While it is good to introduce and share about yourself at the first meeting, do not overdo it in the second and subsequent meetings as other people also want to introduce and share about themselves too.

    3. Ask questions on what you need to know and answer questions on what others need to know as well.

With that said, this is how you build relationships and grow your subscribers as well as turning them into long-term royal customers.

Do Instagram in your niche, contact various profiles with a few thousands followers, ask them to promote. Engage with new followers and have them sign up.

Get hyper clear on your perfect subscriber. See that person is great detail. Age, gender, most pressing problem they suffer from, most outrageous dreams.

Build your website entirely, exclusively, around this individual. This is how to ensure real aka perfect subscribers sign up.

As for channels, buy a domain and hosting and start a Wordpress blog. Solve problems for this perfect subscriber by offering free content. These subs will be highly qualified; they are signing up based on the free help you offer, and that they liked, so they are likely to buy in to your premium offerings too.

Network with top bloggers and entrepreneurs in your niche on social media and through niche specific forums. Help them out. Comment on their blogs. Promote them. Befriend successes, and you will help each other, promote one another, help each other grow their lists and businesses.

    Hi there,

if you want to gain subscribers for your site, you can offer something for free, like a PLR product (has to be valuable) to build your list. Using social media is the way to go now.

Sites like Instagram and pinterest are good places to start building a following. take your time and don't be in a hurry, building a list may take sometime.

Also, you can make contact with other internet marketers, and offer a good deal for joint venture partnership.

    Hope this help.

Good advice. I'd add, even a simple 10 page PDF you whip up yourself addressing some pressing need will do quite nicely, as a free giveaway to boost subscribers.

Another add: ask people to sign up for you email list all over the place. Pin a Tweet on Twitter. Ask on Facebook. Ask throughout your entire online real estate as you build it.

Go for free traffic, like SEO or social media. Pick one strategy, figure out how to do it well, and track your results. Once you feel comfortable with the first, add a second, and so on.

And for what it's worth, I've tried solo ads. You can add a lot of subscribers quickly. But they're already on at least one other list, so you're competing for their attention. Not a great source of engaged subscribers in my opinion.
