Did anyone else get Co-Embed? Not working for me

Wanted to check with folks to see if anyone else got Co-Embed. I set up my first link campaign, tested the link twice and it showed the page with my logo and call to action. Thought all was well.

So then I set up my FB ads. The ink no longer works. It shows nothing but a blank page. I certainly don't want to spend ad money on that.

I contacted co-embed 21 hours ago through their support desk and they still have not responded.

Anyone else having problems?

Thanks.

  • I actually also want to buy co-embed, but I'll wait for the solution of your problem first

Yes, I'd wait. I've contacted their support again and still no reply. They're all busy selling it but apparently not supporting their customers!

Finally, Misan has contacted me in CoEmed's chat box- and I have a dialogue going. So I'm hopeful.

FYI One thing I have learned is the "Start at" __ is in minutes ... so if you you want the CTA or Widget to start in seconds - you must add a 0 in front of your number.

A "miracle" traffic software NOT working as advertised?

    NOOOO! It just can't be!

Sorry for the sarcasm, but I learned a long time ago not to invest in these kinds of "miracle" or "push button cure" type of products.

I don't know who the vendor is, and this is certainly not a jab at them. I don't even know anything about Co-Embed, so it may very well be a great product that is just experiencing some slight technical problems at the moment.

That said, hundreds (if not thousands) of marketers in the "make money online" niche sometimes get caught in a situation where their software might not work as expected or might stop working after a short while.

You really can't blame the product creator. It's up to the customer to do their research and due diligence before purchasing. Although, I'm not saying 100% of the blame lies with the customer. A lot of marketers will put out products that they know don't work advertised.

One might wonder why they would do that. Well, there are several reasons, but mainly it comes down to the fact that the vendor has sunk a huge amount of money into developing the software, having the sales & JV pages created, paying a copywriter, etc.

You see, a lot of these software products emerge from what the vendor considers to be a good idea. Many time, it IS a good idea. The problem, though, is that a lot of the time it's only a good idea in THEORY. So, the vendor develops the software, creates his/her sales funnel, pays to advertise the launch, etc, etc, etc, and when the finished product is delivered, the vendor tests it out. UH-OH! The vendor discovers it doesn't really do what he thought it would.

So, now the vendor has sunk thousands into the production of this product, and the vendor is not about to lose his entire investment, so the launch proceeds anyway.

Now, we can all sit here and criticize the vendor and talk about how wrong it is for the vendor to do this, and don't misunderstand me, it IS wrong, but you also have to ask yourself; What would YOU do?

What if the vendor has put up just about all of his capital and has a family to house, feed, clothe, educate, etc? Can you blame a person for choosing to go ahead with the launch in order to feed his family?

I'm NOT saying that this is what happened with the product in question, and I'm NOT defending the actions of a person who would go ahead and launch a product that doesn't do what's advertised. As I said, I don't even know who the vendor of this product is.

I'm only laying out the different scenarios as to why something like this happens.

Another thing I've learned in my 10 years as an IMer is that Facebook catches on VERY QUICKLY to software products that try to skirt their advertising system, I don't know what Co-Embed does, but what I do know is that a lot of Facebook software that claims to be in line with the TOS actually isn't. Another reason why they catch on so quickly is because if the product is popular and sells thousands of copies, it's very easy for Facebook to see what's going on as you have thousands of people all using the software on the same day they buy it. All it takes is for Facebook to make a tiny little adjustment or to pull the developer's API and it's lights out for the software.

Here's the rub on software products: It's simply the good old adage "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is."

This is one of the reasons why I'm so hesitant to promote all of the top selling software products to my list. I refuse to promote any software that I haven't gotten a review copy of and tried myself, and even then I can't promote a lot of them because they simply don't live up to my expectations.

That said, there are a LOT of great software products being released, but I would caution anybody from promoting any software product, or any digital product for that matter, if they haven't obtained a copy and tried it out first.

Another thing to look for is the refund rate. Some affiliate networks provide affiliates with different stats such as conversion rate, EPC, refund rate, etc. My refund threshold is 5%. IMO, Any product that has a refund rate of more than 5% has issues. That means that out of 100 sales, 5 people asked for a refund. I think that's high, and so I won't even ask for a review copy of an product that has over 100 sales and a refund rate of more than 5%.

Another issue I want to touch upon is product reviews in the MMO niche. If you take any popular launch and do a search for review, you will be hard pressed to find any negative reviews. There used to be a few bloggers who would actually publish negative reviews if they didn't like the product, but they stopped. The reason why they stopped is because if you are an affiliate and you write negative reviews, you'll most likely be blacklisted from promoting any of the big launches.

Most popular vendors are friendly with each other, and word gets around very quickly if an affiliate is writing negative reviews. That affiliate will soon find himself on the outside looking in, and not allowed to promote most of the high converting popular launches.

While I find this to be pretty sad, that's the reality. If you want to play ball, you have to fall in line. The point is that you are not going to find many bad reviews on any of the top launches. Once in a while you might find a "rogue" affiliate who will publish one, but they usually quickly change their tune once they find most of their affiliate requests being denied.

So how do I get around this? Well, I'll be honest. I don't write any negative reviews. However, I only review products that I think are awesome. And that's what most affiliates do. If they don't like a product, they simply don't review it. Now a lot of folks may not agree with this, but again, that's just the way it is.

Well, I've rattled on long enough. One last thing I want to say is that if you don't like a product you've purchased, you almost always have the option of asking for a refund. If a product doesn't live up to your expectations, you shouldn't hesitate or feel bad about doing so.

Same here- I tried to upload a VIMEO link - no luck- I then uploaded a couple of YouTube video links - they show up but when I add CTA or Widgets they don't get added no matter what I try with timing, position or anything else. I contacted support and get the same "bot" replies everytime. It's been over 10 hours since I first contacted them. Anyone else have any luck? This is an excellent app concept- but so far- not working in the real world for me.

Wow! all this time I thought it was me. I am a software junkie and love the idea of marketing automation but the reality is I have a lot of blue labels in my JVZOO account because I will ask for a refund in seconds if the product does not work. The problem is a lot of them don't work as promised.
However, with Co-embed I let it slip by I though it was because I did not have my domains set up properly... kept sending support tickets...etc time just passed and I lost out on the refund. I can now delete Nissan co-embed's creator 's emails. Cause if this one don't work..... I can't really trust any products that he is trying to pitch. I just purchased that ??? create video package. and you know what? can't upload your viceover???? my subscrib.
