Search about uploading software to software directories, I haven't tried that yet but I heard it works well.

Oh yea and, video marketing.. check my sig.

My advice would be to focus on your favorite 2 or 3 from that list maximum and then learn them inside out.

the software one you mean? search about creating software man. You can find little programs that just create very small custom wallpaper generators ect.

Then you just brand them. You can find some cheap resale rights stuff that will embed your affiliate links ect. but the main thing you are doing is building links.

Your software will be at all these software directories linking back to your site and for the most part, the software directories are highly ranked for delivering quality content to their users.

No need to outsource just write a small ebook about the topic of or a topic related to your website. It doesn't even need to be a full ebook it can be a quick report with 20-30 pages.

Then you can turn your ebook into .exe form and put your ebook on filesharing websites. You can also provide your ebook for free to build an opt-in list which we all know is key to advertising.

Just google "free ebook creator .exe"

I also have a post on my blog (linked to a free video from George "the Sniper" Brown) about another effective way of getting loads of free targeted traffic for free. Just go to timesave in my signature.

      Good Luck,

Do people still load books in exe format with all the viruses around? It seems to me that exe format for books is dead, short of self-rebranding copies.

So far you seem to be doing good! The key is consistency!!! Also throw in some email marketing, solo ads... And depending on your niche you can use traffic exchanges to brand your product.

you seem to have good experience when it comes to traffic generation already but I would focus on 1-5 you enjoy and maximise them. Article marketing works best for me and if it's a launch for a new product send some JV proposals out. You might just catch a big fish!

    Hi Zachary

I think you've basically hit all them in the head.

Only other thing I could think of is If you have an email list you could also do adswaps with other marketers.

    Good Luck

That is cool. But I used to put my hand only on few methods here. Those helps me to get decent traffic. Such as blog comments, forum signatures & article submissions. These give me traffic via search engines as well as referal traffic too.

Podcasts. BlogTalk Radio will let you host your own show. You don't actually have to have a show just upload a 30 minute audio and BlogTalk will have it ready for people to download through iTunes.

I think you can even do 15 minutes. Just do an audio titled "Keyword - 5 Things You Should Know".

Near the end before you tell them number point 5 you can mention that you have two more crucial points at your site and give the url.

Why don't you figure out where the traffic you want is already going and get in front of it... jv's, guest blog posts, writing articles for other sites with link back to yours, offering a bonus or complementary product for someone else's offer, etc.

    Hi Zach
Great list. Thanks for putting all the traffic-getting methods in one place.
For me it's all about article marketing ,video marketing and forum marketing. These 3 methods if applied properly generates the desired result without fail.In all 3 you have to make a balance between quality and quantity.Sometimes a single article may generate 30-40 sales and on the other 10 articles may not generate a single sale. But you can't hope to submit one article and get 30 sales always. So the quantity also has it's point.
Previously I used to do article marketing only and I was quite successful with it but recently I came across some softwares which create live, talking videos from your articles.Once I started converting my articles to videos,my traffic has almost tripled. It's easier to get your videos ranked higher than the articles.Just write a nice description and do proper tagging and instant traffic for you!
    Without any extra effort.
Here is a great software I use for converting articles to videos. You can find them at:
    http://ArticleVideoRobot.com

They submit your videos to 10+ video sites(Including Youtube,Metacafe and Dailymotion) and have a 14 days FREE trial. In my opinion you must try their service.
