    Several issues I see:

    1. Asking $800 is a bit too much when you haven't done anything to build up a relationship or otherwise convince people that your advice is worth that much.

    2. If you know all about small business, why are you asking us how you can sell your stuff. Shouldn't you be able to sell it if you can advise about it?

    3. It sounds like your market isn't the JVZoo type crowd but small businesses in your town. Have you thought about doing this offline?

    4. Your website and squeeze page needs some work to be more appealing.

    5. Your squeeze page doesn't convince me that I should even give you my email address much less $800. You should look into hiring a copywriter or at least learning a bit more about how to write in a way that makes people want to pull out their wallet.

None of this is intended to be negative. It looks like it could be a pretty good course for the right target market and with a little polishing.

As he mentioned in point 5 your landing page must grab attention of buyers at first sight because if he bounces from your website he will never return to you for sure.

For copywriting you must create some sort of story or if you are unable to do so just hire one from textbroker or fiverr or freelancer.

Thanks Mark, I was hoping to get some Warriors interested in giving advise and perhaps selling my course as affiliates??? I have another design done for me for the index page already but not in Muse as yet, am not sure which way to go. The Course is all about an on ground business not an IM business, that will be another Course once I see the way forward on this one first. As for 800k at first you think that, then think what do business coaches charge??? the advise I give is real and not fluff, but take your point. What I have learned over 50 years in Business is really worth 100k, as I have lost more than that doing things the wrong way. cheers Mate Thanks Bill

Mark didn't say $800 was too much for business coaching. He said it was too much to ask for on the first go-around. Kind of like asking that girl you met in the pub to meet your parents on the way to your place.

Most of the business coaches I know, or have worked with, start smaller. Some offer a free consulting session or a sample course. There are a lot of business coaches here on the forum, some good, some maybe not so much. Click on their sigs and look at how they draw people into their sales funnel. Should give you some ideas.

Where are you hosting the video? It kept buffering every few seconds, so was a bit hard to watch.

That said, it was short and to the point. I think you did fine until you got to your Call to Action. "I'll send you a 10 Small Business Tips video" is kind of a meh offer. Pick out one or two juicy tips and tease them, almost like clickbait. Check out the offers from Rodale Press, where they offer you "the one thing you need to keep rabbits out of your lettuce (page 97)" Or check the blogs by copywriters like Bob Bly for tips on writing bullets.

On a physical, note, text that runs full width can be hard to read. You may want to tweak your page to provide ~30% margins on either side.

I think you're on the right track.

Thanks John, I appreciate your comments.
I host on HG and have no problems here
All Course videos are on my site to download
I also have teaser videos on YT as well

My plan was a soft sell, not in your face buy now with 23 upgrades???

I was hoping to convince leads that I am the real deal and not just a quick buck Spiv peddling 1990 products??

By softly showing them all that is involved it may give them confidence to buy??

That is why there is no button to the sales page in the first few videos.

Will try following your comments, at this stage I do not know the people you refer??

            Thank again Regards, Bill

Bill, sometimes the "sell" is too soft.

As for the videos, you might want to investigate hosting them outside of your HG account. You have no problem because you have them in a cache. When I tried to watch, the delivery of the video was chopped up by buffering. I stuck it out, but the run of the mill prospect won't.

A lot of people use Amazon's AWS to host and stream their videos very inexpensively. The videos are still shown on your website, but they are not competing for bandwidth with every other site on your server.

Rodale Press publishes mainly in the health/wellness field. I used to get a lot of direct mail from them, but looking at their site, they appear to have gone more mainstream media.

Another, probably better, example would be Agora Financial, which sells subscriptions to financial newsletters and such.

It's not a true hard sell - it's an appeal to curiosity. "Business tips" are a dime a bushel on the Internet. You have to catch someone's attention and pique their curiosity. You want their attention long enough to show them why you are different. And with your years of experience, you are different.

And you are trying to make a sale. You are selling your opt-in.

But you have to prove to potential clients that you know your stuff and that your experience is real. Otherwise, no offense intended, you are just a guy who nobody knows from Adam living halfway across the world.

Show some teaser content, give some of your experience away for free.

The affiliates that will be able to sell any of these won't touch this without some proven numbers. In other words you need to make some sales first and then you can share your stats. They want to see a good, polished presentation, order flow, proof that you can sell it, etc.

I may suggest searching for some testers and get honest testimonials from them also you may like to hire a promoter if you don't like the idea of selling it by yourself.

I would be very careful how you talk about your business as I see the 1st post you made has been moderated so asking people to promote the product is basically self promotion and could get the thread deleted

    Bill,

There is so much wrong here that it is hard to know where to start.

Don't take what follows as a negative. You may be an amazing guy who can take new starts to riches and beyond [and I'm not being sarcastic], the problem is that the site doesn't say 'success' it says 'amateur' having his first go at making a website and a promo video.

The header graphic sucks [you're not a designer are you....I can tell]

The video doesn't look right. You can tell it 's green screened but it looks like something from the 1970's.

Your 'face on' performance is not good so here is a great tip for you to start with.

Write out a list of qustions that would allow you to showcase yourself better.

    Things LIke

So Bill, you've been in business for 30 years, what would you say is the biggest thing you have learned in that time?

Then YOU answer the question to camera....But BILL fer goodness sake....SMILE....that way you'll seem more relaxed.

Then maybe So Bill, what would you say is the biggest mistake that newbie entrepreneurs make when starting out?

Then YOU answer the question to camera....

    and so on.

Go to fivver and ask someone to do you a header graphic.

As others have said no one is going to part with their email address with what you are doing at the moment.

    Also........your subject matter is WAY TOO W I D E

Pick a business you've had success in and give tips to people who are into THAT business.

I think you can do this because you are obviously an open and honest guy.

The Course is very comprehensive and tries to cover all bases seeing as I have no idea what business one chooses to go forward with. But what ever it is all my teachings are relevant in all aspects of setting up and running a small business. I will study all your suggestions and try and implement. I would like to offer you a few tips.

1 - Buy a domain name that brands you (williamcondon.biz)
2 - Invest in a professional squeeze page builder like Optimize Press or ClickFunnels.
3 - I wouldn't talk about making any kind of investment at first especially if you're trying
to convert cold traffic into leads.

Just reviewed the website in your signature.

First off, I'd highly recommend taking your site offline, hiring a quality designer, and relaunching your site with quality branding and layout that makes sense. To be honest, your current site layout is not professional.

William, you may want to try searching for some other sites similar to yours and see how they've set things up. Then, don't copy, but get inspiration about how you might improve your own site.

Is your only goal right now to sell the video course? Or are you interested in sharing this knowledge as an in-person consultant or what exactly are your goals?

HI Mark, Thanks again for advise, my Goals are to not take all my hard earned experience to the Grave without helping people get a small business up and running, jobs are disappearing fast and the only way to ensure family finances is to have a small business and is the easiest way to earn a few dollars. I see what consultants are asking and chances of people getting benefit from them is slim and my video course is 50 years on ground business experience, which cost me Hundreds of Thousands to stumble upon as no one showed me, I jumped in the deep end every time. My advise sets out all the processes you need to discover before jumping in, so you don't just loose all your money. My steep learning curve is to try and sell this on line, and I am in the deep end again. Thank you for taking the time Mark, I appreciate your experience, cheers bill

Well, if you have a small business idea and looking to move forward with the same then start doing a market analysis based on your business location, competitors, goods demand and audience availability. Based on the analysis do a proper business planning and build an attractive website based on your business which will help you to get more customers.

William, you may want to consider spending $5 (I think) and asking for some reviews here: https://www.warriorforum.com/wanted-...king-hire-you/

Some members and mods feel like these requests in the discussion part of the forum are a form of self-promotion/spam and sometimes threads or posts requesting reviews get deleted. Posting your request in the above subforum at least won't get everything deleted but of course there's no guarantee you'll get any good reviews or advice.

People want to know what's in it for them.

10 "business tips" is not the least bit enticing. I can do a quick Google search and find hundreds or thousands.

You need a unique selling proposition:

A unique selling proposition (USP, also seen as unique selling point) is a factor that differentiates a product from its competitors, such as the lowest cost, the highest quality or the first-ever product of its kind. A USP could be thought of as "what you have that competitors don't."
What is unique selling point (USP)? - Definition from WhatIs.com
Me personally, when I landed on your page my first instinct was to bounce.

Here's a tried and true lead generation/squeeze page formula:

    Headline
    Sub-headline
    Bullets of benefits
    Strong Call To Action

Your current page doesn't even have one of these components.

i did not really see any real solid results....till I did one thing.

    or 2 things really.

Built a large email list of prospects.

    Then....

Once they bought stuff from me, promoted more stuff to the list of buyers.

In the end both are good, but I remember when i sent my buyers list of about 200 a program worth $1000, and 4 of them bought.

That was $4000 in straight profits, in a 24 hour window.

So does email marketing work. YES, if done the right way.

But a list of buyers, if you help and nurture them, can bring in massive profits.

This is how the mulitimillionare marketers do it. I am not a multi-millionaire but i do well for myself, and just passign on knowledge that can help you get huge results, and VERY FAST too.

plus i had to scroll a bit to log in and optin.

You might want to try to put the optin part a bit higher on your page.

This gives you the best chance to get optins, in a week. But You are getting the idea I think, and there is some very good information above by warriors. :-)
