Its all about the subject line...it needs to grab attention....BUT the email address has to draw interest as well. What I mean is that an email from ceo@companyname.com is likely to draw my attention quicker than srt1st@gmail.com

Then the subject line needs to be attention grabbing BUT believable...if you are going to tell me how I can be a millionaire in 21 days then im likely not going to open it...but if it looks like a legit communication then it will definitely get clicked on.

    Hope that helps

Yes, i agree with comments above..
I think the Subject of the message should be attractive and maybe shows some proof...
For example, i prefer open a message with title "How (someone's name) make $500/day with this method" instead of "How to make $500/day with this method"

The proof inside the subject will be the someone's name...

    Just my opinion :>

For me it's the name of who it's from.

There are some peoples lists I'm on that I actually look forward to getting their eMails.

If it says it's from "unknown@hotmail" I'm not going to open it.

The first factor is trust. The second factor is attract.

The message had not better get caught in the spam folder, have a credible sender's name/address and not look outright spammy - you are going to become rich in the next 5 seconds is just not what I would like to have a look at.

    LOL...

There is only one email that I open 100% of the time and I didn't even sign up to
their list. I believe my wife signed up to it many years a go.

"Fredericks of Hollywood" I've never missed opening their email.

    Have a Great Day!
    Michael

PS, I'm not even sure what they put into the Subject line?
Doesn't matter because I know the content is GOOD!
