First Post - In need of building an email list from scratch

I use to be a War Room members years back. Before Social Media really made it's impact on how we do business. With that said, I have methods of trying to gain traffic, but what I'm struggling the most with is building an organic email list from scratch.
I've split test two boosted posts on Facebook that both sucked. Then I created a Facebook Ad more tailored to my niche with a more Minimal Clean Cut pic. I just launched that this morning and nothing has come in yet.
Does anyone have any tips, ideas or tools I may look into? I don't want to waste money on ads if I'm doing it incorrectly or in the wrong area.
My niche is providing Social Media traffic building. Not email list building (obviously). Thanks!
