animal charity affiliate?

I have a animal rescue facebook page with 100K followers and I'm looking for ways to make money out of it.
the followers won't buy any product (animal product or other) I suggest to them on the page. (I am an affiliate of many animal product and tried a lot of stuff).
the only thing they care about is the well being of animals.
they WILL donate to animal shelters or alike.

I was thinking of being an affiliate of animal shelter, if there is such a thing, or such other charity for animals.
for example , for every donation of $100 - I'll get to keep a certain amount of $ as the middle man.

is there such a thing? what is it called, a charity affiliate? a professional paid fundraiser?

Going to be real blunt here. In charitable organizations there are paid employees that do the administrative work and financial accounting of the charity. Smaller charities often rely only on volunteers who work for free.

Someone who tries to insert himself between those who donate to an 'animal rescue' and the people doing the rescue....may be called 'a jerk'.

There may be ways to publish a site/blog where you sell product and donate a percentage of the funds to a certain charitable group but you may get in trouble if you claim to represent that charity.

Why did you create an animal welfare group rather than an animal products FB page? You have a problem as those who donate for 'animal welfare' don't like people who try to profit from their charity.

I created an animal rescue facebook page to share videos of good people rescuing animals in order drive people to do the same.
      and it kinda worked...

but back on topic: I started by trying to sell products for animals , stating that 35% of the profits will go to animal shelters but couldn't sell a thing.

the products were kinda cool - i think... I used some of them in the past

In my experience, people often don't trust sites that claim to donate a percentage - perhaps because so many of those are scammy.

There has been so much news about fake charities I think it might be hard to make money from a page like that. If you had a site or blog where you promoted pet products and had loads of free info, too, that might be a different story.

I think it will be a difficult path to make money from a 'charity angle'.

well actually, I DO have a site along with the facebook page with free info about animals, about raising them as pets, all kinds of nutrition tips etc.
the site also has funny content regarding animals and such.
what about if I first donate a certain amount of money, give screenshots on the website of it as proof and than say I give a certain amount to charity? will that seems more reliable ?
and besides that, any other ideas how to make some cash out of it?
seems kind of a waste all those years

    Zoderami,

You could run a tageted Facebook add or create a lookalike audience to people who are interested in animals and promote an animal related product: food, toy, tool, etc.

Point is - trying to monetize a 'charity page' will not end well no matter how much spin you try to give it.
