Google Analytics is definitely the go to... Here's a short article that gives you the basics on how to use it. http://marketinghangout.co/u/2673/ho...ogle-analytics

Google HotJar. They have a plan for plan for students & enthusiasts. It is free but only collects data from 2,000 pageviews / day. Otherwise you will have to pay for the service.

    I use https://www.smartlook.com/

You get video recordings of all your visitors.

Here's a robot on one of my sites:

Google analytics is a good free tracking service. Properly the best one for a free option. If you are not techy, I would go with trck.me

    RealBuzOpp,

It depends on what you are looking to track. Google Analytics is good, but may not give you all the tracking you need. You can also use Bit.ly if you are tracking clicks, but you are going to want to know clicks, opt-ins, and sales by traffic source. I don't know of a free service that will do all of that.

The biggest thing you need to know is what is giving you the best bang for your but. If you don't know you are stabbing in the dark.

    Hi RealBuzzOpp,

As Chris above says, it'll depend on what you want to track..., anyhow, one interesting option could be Clickmagic, I believe they have a monthly option for $17 dollars.

If you just want to track clicks, some basic traffic sources and so on you can try free sources like bit.ly or goo.gl

    Regards,
    Robin
