What are your thoughts on blogging for 2018?

Hey Warriors!

I'm looking for feedback on blogging in this new year.

I love blogging and have found success with it. It is my number one recommendation to any newbie online looking to build a passive income.

The formula is very simple. And the steps are easy to understand.

1 - Pick a profitable niche you are passionate about.
2 - Build your own self-hosted blog site.
3 - Fully optimize your blog for email marketing.
4 - Publish in-depth articles for your niche audience.
5 - Work daily to build up the traffic flow.
6 - Improve conversions and user-experience as you grow.
7 - Focus on building your subscribers list.
8 - Survey your list to learn what they actually need.
9 - Follow up and build rapport with your list.
10 - Solve specific problems and sell your products or affiliate products.
11 - Be consistent with what actually works.

If I were to put successful blogging in simple steps, this is it.

It's not rocket science, and anybody can build a profitable niche blog. Of course, not everyone will, and that is because not everyone wants it bad enough to put in the necessary work consistently.

Blogging is an investment. It is now a legit business model. If you are looking to get-rich-quick with blogging, you are already starting on the wrong foot and you are not going to make it far. But, if you are ambitiously lazy, and want to build a passive income, blogging is where it's at.

It does take time and effort to build an income with a niche blog - just like with any other business online or offline. It is all well worth it at the end, trust me. Be smart and build your online assets. This is the real way to build a passive income using the power of the internet, in my honest opinion. And it does not take a lot of money to start.

Running your own blog online also gives you tremendous authority in your niche. You can recommend tools and products with more confidence when you are a well-established blogger.

What are you thoughts on blogging?

I'd love to hear what you think of this method to build an online income and live the dot com lifestyle.

Thank you so much!

Sure. Because you have something to sell, of course, blogging is your answer.

You say it takes time. How much time? Are you earning a full time income (avg American Wage or better) from you blog and if so, how long did it take you to get there?

How about giving us a case study of your blog, when it was started and the time line to get to where you are today, being the expert selling how to blog info?

      Hey Gordon!

These are questions someone looking for a get-rich-quick system would ask. I have to be blunt here.

Most are after the quick ways to make money online - so this thread is not for them - and I clearly stated that if you have this type of mindset, blogging is not for you.

How much time does it take to make money blogging? - It can take 3 to 12 months to start making money with a niche blog. But, that question is just not the right question to ask if you are really interested in blogging. Because the time frame it takes to make money blogging DEPENDS on how much you work and HOW you do things.

Are you earning a full-time income (avg American Wage or better) from your blog and if so, how long did it take you to get there? - Yes, I am. And it took me a few years (two and a half years if you are looking for an exact number) to make it happen. I started as a complete newbie and did not even know what a domain name was at the beginning. I'm a high drop-out. I came to the US at the age of 15 from Spain. So, my English was not even that good when I started. But, you don't have to take as long as I did. I was not doing the right things and learned on my own the hard way. Today, there is so much guidance on blogging, it's unbelievable.

I have more than one blog, and the process to build each one is the same. But the time it takes to make money with a niche blog depends on many factors. I don't know your work ethic and your self-discipline, so how long it takes you will be different to how long it takes me. This is obvious.

I started my first blog in the dating niche. Didn't do well there. Then I started a new blog in the memory improvement niche, this is when I made my first affiliate sale online and started to see the real potential of blogging. Once I made my first affiliate sale, my beliefs changed for the better and I started making more money online. The rest is history.

Belief is another super important fact here. If you don't really believe you can make it happen, you will have a hard time making it happen. The skeptical people are the ones who never make it in this industry. That is a fact.

The process of building a profitable niche blog? - I have shared the simple steps in my thread above.

Hope this helps you if you are looking to build your own blog online.

Thank you so much for participating here!

No, that's your opinion. Skeptical people are those that refuse to view the world through rose-colored glasses and choose to acknowledge the realities of life.

Believing something, doesn't necessarily make it so. Some people might do well with blogging, but the vast majority will fail, miserably.

THAT'S a fact - and most experienced, honest people will recognize it as such.

I'm stating the facts. Not my opinion.

WHY do most people fail miserably?

          Elaborate the reasons, please.

Simple answer, they just do not want to actually put in the work consistently. Plain and simple.

Simple fact of life. For every successful blogger, there are thousands that have come and gone - many of whom have done everything that one would think is required to be successful - and yet, still failed miserably - for any one of myriad reasons. Would you dispute that? Really? Been here, long??? lol

You may certainly disagree with my observation, but the fact remains. Probably 95% of people who attempt to make their living through blogging, fail. I'd be willing to guess that the number could be 99%. While you are certainly entitled to your opinion, you are not entitled to your own facts. Plain and simple!

            Thank you.

              Thank you.

So, to put it in an example, you are telling me that if there is a recipe to bake a cake (for instance), and 100 people follow the same recipe exactly, only one will get it right?

              Come on!

The people who don't succeed online are not following everything correctly, if the did they would see results.

The fact shows the lack of real action. You cannot say these people are doing things right. How can you? Do you personally know exactly what the work ethic and real goals are of these 95%???

Of course, you do not. And neither do I.

All you know (and me included) is that number, that percentage.

              That's it.

Saying that these 95% did everything they could to make it happen is oblivious. Again, you do not anything about these people, all you know is the percentage.

I respect your opinion. But you can't talk blindly here.

Thank you for the discussion, though.

This is super helpful to the ones who actaully want to succeed with their blog!

                That's a ludicrous analogy.

Yet, you state that they must not be doing things correctly, like working long enough and hard enough. You seem to believe that's all there is to it. Some people work long and hard and never get anywhere.

All you know (and me included) is that number, that percentage.

And you can't talk knowingly, here. You don't know one iota more than I do, but you are stating the precise reasons why people fail at blogging,. That's just plain ridiculous.

Thank you for the discussion, though.

I don't do blogs. I prefer to make a good living - and I have. Oh, BTW, I have never 'built a list, either." You know - the most important thing in IM.

So, let me get this straight, you have never built a niche blog, and have not a lot of experience with niche blogging, yet you have such strong negative opinions on the topic?

Cool. You are entitled to your opinion, I guess. But, why get on this thread if you have little to no experience on the topic?

                      Just saying!

By the way, I've also started making money online without an email list. It's not a big challenge.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts anyway.

    Freedom,

What does ambitiously lazy mean? To me, that phrase suggests one that goes beyond just being average lazy . . . he is striving to be super lazy.

I have been blogging for quite a few years in several different niches and in my opinion, at least, laziness and profit from blogs don't go together.

Personally, I think "passive income" from blogging is largely a myth.

I'm not criticizing your formula - it's a high-level overview of the blogging landscape for a newbie. But I think you might be giving the wrong impression about how easy, passive, and how little work is involved in being profitable with a blog.

In my experience, blogging profitably is a major undertaking and requires constant work over the long run and if you don't consistently promote your blog content, your readers quickly forget to engage and new subscribers dwindle. Blogging is not a passive income model, IMO.

    Thanks for the thread. I don't believe blogging in 2018 is any different from blogging in 2017, 2016, 2015 . . . it's work.

      Steve,

It looks like you have been around this industry for longer than I have - I am surprised to see that you have not heard of this phrase "amitiously lazy" before. What I mean by that is that you want work hard NOW in order to be "lazy" later - once you have built your ASSETS and Passive Income.

But, I do get your point, and see how this quote can be misunderstood. So thank you very much for pointing that out.

Now, Passive Income Blogging is NOT a Myth. This also surprises me to hear from someone who has been around here for as long as you have, Steve.

Also, I never said building a passive income blogging was easy?

I did not say it is easy. I said the steps to build a successful blog are easy to understand - that's completely different my friend. And I've also never said it takes little work. I'm not sure if you've actually read my post or simply skimmed it to leave a quick reply.

If you have been blogging for years and have not build a passive income yet - it is because you are not doing the right things to build it - not because "passive income blogging is a myth". That is only true to the one who believes it and is not doing the right things.

Of course, you have to actually BLOG CONSISTENTLY. No one is saying otherwise.

      Blogging is a lifestyle.

You have to actually care about the people in your niche. This is why it is so important to get in a niche you are very passionate about so you can do your very best.

Chase the passion to be of service to others - do not just chase the money. If you only chase the money and get in niches just for the money - how can you achieve great levels of success if you are not there to actually help others?

The most successful people in this world understand this very well.

      What did Zig Ziglar say???

"You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want."

And that is just from one succesful guy. There are many others who say the same exact thing.

If you still don't want to be believe in passive income through blogging, that is fine. It is your opinion, and your opinion only.

Just go ask Deacon Hayes how he is making over $10k a month blogging.

How about asking Kayla Buell how she has been making a little over $2k a month blogging online?

Or Rose Atwater, maknig over $4k blogging?

How about studying what Kristin Larsen does with her blogging, making a consistent $20k with her blog?

And I could go on and on listing so many average people earning a passive income blogging in niches they are very passionate about.

Passive income through blogging is not a myth, at all.

Just go tell Pat Flynn, Derek Halpern, John Chow, or Matthew Woodward that passive income through blogging is a myth and see what they say.

Thank you so much for your reply here, Steve!

I respect your opinions. But, they are far from the real truth.

Actually, FB, you are. I realize English isn't your first language (and congrats on how you've mastered it thus far), but continuing to call what the successful bloggers you cite do as "passive income" is incorrect.

As you say in the above quote, you have to blog consistently. You have to continue to promote. You have to remain connected to your readership. None of those activities can be described as passive.

What is the definition of Passive Income?

I invite you to actually elaborate on the definition.

Waking up to affiliate sales - is not passive income?

Once, you've established a blog that generates traffic, leads, and sales, you could stop blogging for an entire month and still get some income. Is this not passive???

What are your thoughts on Pat Flynn, Derek Halpern, John Chow, Matthew Woordward, Jon Morrow, Brian Dean?? ... and even Tim Ferris blogs now!

It's where you do the work once, and receive sustained and regular income without the need for further work. Writing a hit song generates passive income for the composer. Investing in shares of successful ventures generates passive income for the investor.

Maintaining a blog requires ongoing work.

Once, you've established a blog that generates traffic, leads, and sales, you could stop blogging for an entire month and still get some income. Is this not passive???
Any blog that has a sustained period of inactivity will risk losing momentum and income. Bloggers who've spent years building a following will obviously have a little more leeway. In the same manner, a business owner or CEO could go on a month's vacation or have a period of illness without it adversely affecting the performance of the company, assuming enough work has been put into the business structure and systems. That doesn't make it a passive income model.

So, a blog post that ranks at the top of a Google search result for a profitable keyword, and it maintains that ranking for a year, bringing in income regardless of any additional work, is not the same as the examples you have stated?

It is the same exact thing as writing a "hit song" or investing in "shares" - once and letting it work for you.

What is your background with blogging, Frank?

Do you have your own blog? And have you built a profitable blog to back up your thoughts here?

I'm very curious what your expertise on blogging is.

No. Blog posts don't exist in isolation. The definition of a blog is a website that's regularly updated. If it's not regularly updated, it's just a website. What you're describing, assuming it isn't merely hypothetical, is basically an online article containing links to a product or service. That's similar to the now largely outdated method of article directory marketing which relied on the successful ranking of keywords (and the authority of the directory) for its effectiveness.

Frank, you haven't answered the question.

How much experience do you have with niche blogging? Have you built a successful blog online?

                  We now have Google RankBrain.

How much do you know about this new technology from Google?

Which, in fact, Google confirmed in 2015 to be their third most important ranking factor. And with RankBrain, you don't necessarily need a lot of backlinks (or even any) and a lot of on-page SEO in order to rank high in the search results. You don't even need a lot of content on your blog (or website) in order to rank high. Of course, backlinks, keywords, and fresh content are still important but they are not the only way to rank high.

I welcome your feedback and counter with the facts of today. I'm simply trying to educate everyone with the right information. I have experience with all of this, I'm not just talking because I read articles on such topics. I have actually put in the work to see the results and learn what works and what doesn't.

        Freedom Blogger,

Thank you for confirming my point about blogging not producing passive income.

I couldn't agree more that successful bloggers have to keep at it and be consistent over the long haul - and by anyone's definition (but yours) that is not passive income. We're not talking about a single page bringing in revenue for a year or more because obviously even if you don't touch that page, you're still working your blog in supporting that page with referrals and traffic that is coming to your web site.

Here's the real test: don't touch your blog in any way for a year or more (and don't promote it in any way because that's not passive) and tell me with a straight face that your income is still going to be the same after that year as it was at the time the blog was shut down. It's not going to happen.

I have no problem with almost everything you've stated about blogging - I enjoy doing it very much and I think it is an excellent marketing strategy. I just don't think people ought to be told that it's a passive income producer. Every one of the successful bloggers that you have mentioned work at blogging in order to make income. If they were to leave their blog and never touch it again, there "passive" income would most assuredly suffer - hence - blogging takes work continuously (as you stated above).

        Thanks for the thread.

          Steve

So, if you only work about 10 hours a week (of course, once you have built a big audience and subscribers list you can do this) blogging in a niche you actually love, and whenever you decide to take off for a month or two or even longer and not touch your blog at all, and still make a few thousand dollars, isn't that Passive Income?

Even working a few hours a week to earn a few thousand dollars a month is still great income and most of it comes passively. Meaning that you earn the money when you are not necessarily working at it at the moment of the transactions.

I came here to shine some inspiration and give the best advice to the newbies online on passive income through blogging - that's all. You didn't have to come here with such negative opinions and keep going at it - especially when you, yourself, don't seem to have real experiences with actually making a living blogging online.

I think your definition of what passive income online actually is might be a bit off.

A popular blog in any niche can still make you some money even in one year of not touching it. And I am telling you this with the most straight face possible.

          How?

          We have automated tools, Steve.

We are in 2018 now. Not sure where you get your facts from but you could not be more wrong. And you might have very outdated knowledge of income through blogging.

You can set up hundreds of follow up emails that will go out frequently without you doing a single thing (once everything is set up). And this is just one automation tool that you can set up.

Once you have your blog's traffic at a good level, the passive cycle begins. The traffic comes in, people subscribe to your lists, the autoresponder sends emails on a regular basis sharing more value with the readers (promoting old blog posts), you offer affiliate products and your own products throughout the content you share, and you earn your income that way.

Your email list is often feeding your current content with new traffic - making your blog keep running smoothly online.

This could go on for an entire year if you set everything up the right way first. And you could be doing nothing for that entire year and still benefit. Of course, at the beginning, you do have to put in the hard work. No one has said you don't have to work at this at all. You have to build it first. We're adults here, right? - this is obvious, let's not be ignorant here.

I have experienced such passive income and many successful bloggers agree that blogging can provide you with such passive income. Just because you do not know how to do it right and haven't accomplished it yourself - does not mean that what you are saying; "passive income blogging is a myth" is true, and give such negative opinions on it. You gotta talk from real experiences by actually accomplishing what you want to have strong opinions about. Just saying, Steve.

I'd love to see your blog and see what experience you have with blogging and making money doing it since you seem to talk as if you are an expert in the topic.

          What is your blog site?

I gladly invite you to share it with us so we can learn more from you. Maybe you are onto something here.

Please, reply with a link to your blog. Thanks.

I'm doing my best to educate the new blogger with the right knowledge, and you know what, you are actually helping with this discussion - a lot. This goes to show why most people fail to build a real income with blogging, because of such way of thinking.

So, thank you very much for your replies!

I agree with you and the formula you stated. It's not an overnight success. It's something you build over time and keep on improving. It's my model and method of choice to build myself something I can be proud of and that can bring me something to live with.

      Exactly!

You BUILD IT. It's not an overnight process. It is a legitimate business model. Blogging is now a career. Just like Vlogging is with the power of Youtube.

      It is an ASSET.

A blog can generate traffic, leads, and sales, while you are sleeping and doing other things with your time. But, at the beginning, you have to work hard at it, and that is a fact. It's not easy but it is so worth it.

  • With that being said, you can just blog about everything you do, during your ordinary life.

Just post the appropriate link to your very best offer or the most awesome reviewed affiliate link, and with proper persuasion you can make good passive income daily.

Blogging has many benefits, and residual income due to the great regular content that you continue to deliver to your subscribers.

This will make you better off than you are right now.

What you need to do is learn the many ways to drive traffic to a blog, then create a custom promotion strategy that you can follow on a daily basis with consistency.

You can implement strategies such as; blog commenting, guest blogging, outreach marketing, social media marketing, video marketing, blogger networking, and content marketing.

      Here is a helpful diagram;

And to answer your other question, you actually do not need a lot of blog posts to start getting traffic and start generating leads and sales. What you need to do is publish a few in-depth articles (1500+ words long) that are solving specific problems in your niche way better than your "competition".

I would suggest following the 80/20 rule.

This is where you spend 80% of your time promoting your content and branding your blog, and 20% of your time spend it creating super helpful articles for your niche audience that you will publish on your blog regularly.

You can do this by just publishing one to two new articles per week. And spend the rest of your time promoting the heck out of them.

Successful blogging is all about outworking the guys at the top of the search engine results. To help you understand this a lot better - here is an article from Quora.com

If you have any other questions feel free to ask away!

Keep up the good work,so far!

      Yup!

I would agree. Email marketing is the backbone of blogging. They go together like peanut butter and jelly!

      And here are interesting statistics;

According to Search Engine Journal, Search Engine leads have a 14.6% close rate, while outbound leads such as direct mail or print advertising have a 1.7% close rate. This is a big difference, don't you think!?

This alone tells you the real power of blogging because of this simple fact that you can rank high in the search engines with your blog.

You mentioned ranking highly for a "profitable keyword" in Google allows you to wake up to affiliate sales. Congratulations, that is the secret sauce to blogging success.

If a person wants a successful business from blogging, they need to do the right research in the very beginning to know what products and services their audience will buy, and they need to be passionate about the subject of their blog because writing every day takes discipline, but if you hate it, you're going to quit. If you do it for years and don't make money, you're going to quit.

The graph you put up is spot on. Bloggers need to promote significantly more than they write. They need to be skilled in bringing traffic - the right kind of traffic - the kind of traffic that wants to buy something.

If someone picks the right niche, and they are skilled, and they resonate with people, and they aren't scrambling for crumbs by picking a crowded niche, there is still a lot of money to be made. It's not easy and it's not fast. But, just like everything else, if the stars align and you put in the time, it can be worthwhile.

      It really is.

Your own blog is your home online.

It is your home base. It is your own virtual "store" that is open for business 24/7.

Of course, you don't want to put all of your eggs in one basket, right. You want to have various mediums of traffic. That is smart internet marketing.

Thanks for sharing your ideas about blogging. Even i love blogging.

Blogging is a way to make money online along with an online shopping cart. You should consider both options.

Write about your products you sell via your online shop. Submit each page to google. And, if your good, you'll rank on page 1.

Yes, you have to publish very valuable and interesting articles consistently. It's doesn't have to be on a daily basis, as long as it is weekly, you are good.

The promotion of your blog is one of the most important parts of the process!

Thank you for your thoughts here!

Interesting thread and good points being made across the board. To add to this thread, there are several people making over $100K per month from their blogs including Jon Morrow of SmartBlogger and Michelle Schroeder of MakingSenseofCents who runs a finance blog. There's also Silas and Grace who run ChasingFoxes which is a lifestyle blog with tips and advice on travel, cooking, relationships, etc. They're growing by leaps and bounds monthly and look like they'll be in the 6 figure range soon.

In the case of Michelle Schroeder, blogging was something she started in 2011 in order to simply help people with money matters and giving money saving tips. She never became a blogger to make money as she didn't even realize making money online was possible. She wasn't a marketer at all and knew nothing about it. She built a massive readership and community over the years through passionate blogging and her revenue climbs month after month through display ads, affiliate products, and selling her own courses.

Running their respective sites through an SEO tool, I saw that they're ranking for massive keywords and getting thousands of visitors daily. Michelle gets over 20K organic visitors daily from the US alone. It's safe to say that passionate blogging can reap rewards sometimes even without direction.

They're one in a million -- a very crucial point that you simply forgot to mention. Getting organic traffic from a new blog is a myth now. Search engine traffic is mainly owned by either big media companies or passionate bloggers who started their blogs years ago without any intent to making money, primarily.

If you want to make money in 2018, strictly paid traffic is the answer. Again, PPC is quite competitive. One way is starting a YouTube channel and invest in YouTube ads. Promote your own products with video ads and invest/reinvest the money you earn.

        Hhhmmm ...

Have you heard of something called Google RankBrain??

I'd like to think that you would have a much different opinion on this if you actually learned exactly what Google is doing now and how they are evolving to rank content in their search engine.

It is actually a lot easier now to get better Google rankings and get organic traffic thanks to this search algorithm evolution.

RankBrain is an AI (artificial intelligence) and it is a technology Google confirmed in October 2015 to be their third most important ranking factor.

Paid traffic is great. But, you can lose a lot of money if you don't know exactly what you are doing. So, paid traffic alone is not the answer. Putting and using everything together is.

Anyway, thank you for coming by to share your thoughts!

            Hey Roger!

I'm going to share a simple infographic here that will elaborate more on what Google RankBrain is and how it works.

It is a lot to explain in detailed words. I actually have a guest post where I talk in more details on this topic, getting published soon. I will share that article once it goes live. In the meantime here is the infographic to get you more familiar with this Google Technology.

You can also take a look at this other infographic that explains this in better details.

I don't know. I've seen a guy who started his website in 2015 and within 1 year he was already ranking at the top and beating out the biggest players who'd been around since 2006. Now he ranks #1 for basically every keyword in the industry including being placed above Wikipedia in the organic search rankings. The biggest difference between his site and all the other huge players before him was that he was the only one who had an active blog. Make of that whatever you will. Could be luck or could be that quality content is how Google ranks sites.
And those other "1 in a million" sites didn't happen overnight. It took 2-3 years for them to get really rolling as they put out a mass ton of unique content almost daily.

And this is the real power of blogging!

It's not such a big challenge to really rank up in the search engines today if you just getting started with blogging. I'm not sure why a lot of people are so skeptical about blogging and building a passive income with it. Especially, comments from people who have little to zero experience with blogging. Just saying.

It's all about over-delivering in quality and in value to the Google Searcher. That's the "secret" to ranking high in Google, getting targeted traffic from the search engine, building an email list, and making sales - all passively. Of course, the work has to be done first, and it takes effort and time to build just like with anything else that you want to earn from.

Thank you so much for participating here and sharing that great example of how powerful blogging can be!

As I look over the list I see that some have been done but some I need to attack with a shot adrenaline. Generally the P.R. department will create blogs that contain and expand on the "niche" solutions offered in the product options that synthetic automotive lubricants present and the most current information and that I am grateful and do not to want to compete with. I have claimed some web territory in the form of a blog or two which I have been told by prospects that they referred to. Thanks for the opportunity to exchange ideas on this topic.

Your spot on with choosing a topic you are passionate about, you need to focus also on very different and unique content. Something that worked in the year 2000s, may not necessarily work the same as of now. you need something great and professional brand image to attract potential customers today and something that is 'popular'. google trends and others helps with this.

I disagree and just my opinion, the formula is never easy nor simple. It takes time to build your brand.

You need to be prepared to change gradually as your product and success evolves.

      David.

      Of course.

You do need to have everything in place in the right way.

I can't address enough the fact that you do need a well-designed and developed blog site starting from your logo and on. Every single thing matters.

Every single detail matters when you want to build a profitable blog online. You need to create your own logo, choose the right contrast of colors, the right structure for better UX (user-experience) and so on. It is work. No one is saying there is no work involved.

The concepts are simple. The work is not. And, of course, you have to keep learning as the industry changes and evolves, as with any other industry.

Thank you for coming by, David!

My thoughts on it are you have to focus on more than just writing. The goal has to be to present content in different ways and across different platforms in order to build a base. You have to entertain, excite and engage. You can typically do two out of the three, but it's hard to do all three. If you focus solely on one of these you'll have a good chance to build up a good blog. The reason why is because readers will demand more content, share your content and your blog will grow naturally in terms of readership.

I do not think blogging in 2018 is different than it was in 2017 or 2016.

What OP says in his opening post is valid. His method for success is valid.

But I still have the impression that he sells dreams. All that OP says is possible. But is it likely? For every 100 people who will religiously follow his advice, only 1 in 100 will succeed. And this statistic is based on a very long experience in the field.

Why are so few successful? For the same reason that there are only three people who reach the podium at the Olympics. Do those who fail at the Olympics fail because they did not follow the right method? Because they did not believe in success? Because they did not work hard enough? No. Simply because there were only three places on the podium.

For each niche or sub-niche, the BEST bloggers (those who appear on the first page of Google for relevant keywords) will reap the lion's share. The others will earn little and the majority will not earn anything at all.

Selling the idea that anyone can make a living as a blogger is a lot like selling the idea that you can make a living as a writer, an actor or a model. Yes it is possible, but it is a dream unattainable for the majority.

But obviously the dream sellers will pretend the opposite. Since it's their livelihood to claim that anyone (on the condition of buying the dream seller's method) can succeed.

Blogging is an investment. You can utilize it not just for generating leads, but also search engine optimization. Lots of companies use onsite blogs to help with driving traffic to other pages of their website. If you're selling something, this would be really useful.

I've had some experience with a virtual assistant that handles SEO for this website, and onsite blogs are a regular part of his link building strategy.
