Hey guys, I've got a website that I'm searching for ways to monetize better. It's currently got 15-20k unique visitors per month from organic search traffic to evergreen content.

On ahrefs.com it shows the keywords that I'm in the top results for are super valuable, a few >$100 CPC and many in the $30-60 CPC range. ahrefs' "traffic value" is $15,000/month. The thing is each one of those keywords doesn't get a huge amount of total traffic.

I'm currently monetizing with Adsense and affiliate links from which I'm earning a tiny tiny fraction of that "traffic value".

I'd be really happy to earn 10-20% of that traffic estimate. Do you guys have any ideas how to monetize a site that has super high value CPC keywords but where those keywords don't have a ton of total search traffic?

Thanks in advance!

Their 15k per month "value" is based on? A guess.

You need to have very specific offers at your site for each of the keywords sending the traffic.

You don't need a ton of total search traffic, you have to have the value there for those that do come. How about you develop your products instead of affiliate offers?

Create a shute, a funnel for each of the keywords, and let them slip and slide down into your own little rabbit hole. It sounds like you don't have the right thing these people are searching for, or it is not targeted clearly enough when they land on your site.

  • You can try putting affiliate marketing offers in your site.

    Hi Gumshoe,

    Some ideas:

    - Offer consulting services
    - Offer freelance services
    - write and self-publish eBooks on Amazon
    - co-create audio books on acx.com
    - create courses

Dive into your topic and offer value through these channels. Good additions to your current ad and affiliate streams.

So how much is Adsense paying per click? If the above figures are true they would be paying very well.
