How to promote my website?

I want to promote my website and I am doing Blogging, Questions & Answers, Forums, PDF, Infographics, Google AdWords and Pinterest.
Are these activities enough to promote my website?

Yes they are enough, but there are other ways you can still promote it, such as social media marketing by using Facebook ads, with this you can get a targeted traffic from it to your website.

you should also try to work on social media, it should be really healthy for your page to get some appearance on some social media groups, you should try one as Facebook, and get it there.

What is your website about? Which niche? And what is your monetization strategy? Your promotion strategy will depend on those..

The things you have mentioned are a start. But you should understand that if they are all that you do, it is going to take some time and patience on your part before you see even moderate or significant traffic.

If you want to "grease the skids" (make things work more effectively) you should consider distributing your best information to places where your targeted prospects can be found. In other words ... don't just wait at your blog hoping that people will show up. Get out, hustle, be aggressive and scatter your valuable content out in your marketplace.

Think of a single piece of great content as a doorway back to your site (business). You want as many of those doorways away from your blog as possible (meaning your content is found on other people's sites - especially authority sites in your niche). So you put links back to your web site within your content and give viewers of your content a reason to come to your site (freebies, freemiums, reports, downloads, more follow-up content, etc).

You're made a good start ... but I suggest you hit the road and place as many strategic doorways and invitations back to your blog as you can. it will make a big difference in your traffic.

    The very best to you,

    Steve

best post I read all day, when you see this, it means you strike it rich.

I am using this exact thing to target traffic in high volume forums, and lead it to optin page.

Doing this can make you rich.

Remember its not about the quanity of traffic, but that certainly helps. Its about getting that person on your list, the most passionate and the most likely to get their credit card out.

If you can do this, and tantalize their tastebuds, you can make as much money as you want.

Have you considered a facebook group and building up a following, this is of course niche dependent. Also don't forget you could also set up a Youtube channel.

Yes. In fact, I would say you could cut back a little bit and become laser focused on just a few of these things instead of the whole list.

You have a good list of places to promote your site, but always look for new opportunities to expand your traffic.

A good source of targeted buyer traffic would be product reviews. You can buy bing traffic for your review or get it ranked in the search engines.

    Be everywhere.

Find all of the places that you can promote your site. Other blogs, blog commenting, forums, social media, Facebook groups, pdf sharing sites, file sharing sites. Just think of all the places you can promote it and do it.

The more places you are the more people will be exposed to your stuff. This is what I do when I build my affiliate sites in the beginning. I find any place that I can promote my site and then I do it.

    Hope that helps.

Quora is widely used for marketing. I was looking for a forum in a particular niche and Google search landed me on a quora page. The people there are intensionally asking and replying about the same forum. They made it look like that is the only forum in that particular niche.

Being consistent and working towards an overall plan is key, no matter which traffic method you use. Getting yourself out there on social media is also important, that's how you get social proof and authority.

i konw a good stocktrader that does that on TWITTER, and yes he gets calls wrong, and people bag him, but he makes a killing doing this offereing a newsletter service, and getting giant traffic that way. he does twitter ads to I think, from memory which are very expensive these days, but gets results, as they are targeted.

Figure out where your targeted audience hangs out. Then choose 3 traffic sources where your target audience hangs out. Lastly, focus your efforts on mastering those traffic sources and improving your conversions.

There are basically 2 types of Traffic which are Free Traffic and Paid Traffic. You can SEO for Free Traffic (look like you are doing this kind of promotion such as Blogging or Forum). With Paid Traffic, besides Google Ads you can try Facebook ads by setting up a fanpage to get target customers).
