Monetizing Informational Videos

Hello guys. I've been in the YouTube field for a while now, and i need some new ideas.

I was thinking of building a YouTube channel in the health niche, but while looking for monetization options, i struggled.

I was thinking of making videos about common health problems and how to solve them, but i couldn't figure out a way to monetize them.

Example: "How To Get Rid Of Acne", "How To Stop Toothache", "How To Get Rid of Kidney Stones" etc.

I would show a few methods on the video, but how would i go selling something to these people?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Provide/create a membership website of your own with multiple solutions. So you just reveal a single solution in your video and attract your viewers to go to your membership website for more solution for an affordable price. Good luck!

I would get started and do a series of videos around a few of these topics - take note of which one gets the best response (Testing of sorts) and then double down on both the content side (to build more of a following) and begin to introduce products (could be affiliate products to start, but eventually you want to find a way to have your own products and build your own brand to really scale)

Be wary of the "solving health problems" niche; it's a regulatory minefield, especially when it comes to safe and legitimate products, and touting information without have the credentials to back it up is very risky IMO

Crackhouse is absolutely right. Youtube (Google) is very hard on the YMYL (Your Money Your Life) matter. In fact, even if you have the credentials, Youtube might suspend your account for whatever reason. This is especially true if you want to use the "functional medicine" "holistic approach".

If I were you, I wouldn't use Youtube for this video project. Ask Mike Adams (health ranger) what happened to his Youtube channel. https://www.naturalnews.com/2018-03-...hip-purge.html

If you have some credentials, it will help but I'm telling you that:

      -Big Medica
      -Big Pharma
      -Big Agrobiz

all have a big influence on Youtube and Google through the Codex Alimentarius project.. Every information that goes against that is considered as "fake news". So, if you want to change the world with controversial information (for common society knowledge), Youtube might not be the right place. The video I posted is an exception but I think that it's an old video, it doesn't have that many views and it's so long (40 minutes) that people don't take the time to watch all of it.

My wife is a naturopath and I'm in charge of her SEO. I know a lot about what to do and what to avoid.

Ask Mike Adams (health ranger) what happened to his Youtube channel.
He never mentions "health" once in that article. He claims it's the political motivations of the "Evil-left."

    The real reason is unimportant.

On web properties I own, I decide what gets deleted and what is allowed to stay. YT is the same.

If you don't like it, start your own video hosting website.

yes of-course you can make a good funnel if you want to sell you own product and most of all you must need to make an opt in page

You need to be giving away the difficult technique and suggesting the easier paid product. There's always more than one way to do something.

This way you're still helping freebie seeking traffic (maybe they're broke) but you still appeal to the crowd that can afford the paid product. When people have money they'll usually take the easy technique route.

Keep in mind that people that are broke can still be extremely useful, example recommending your free help (ex: video) to even more people and/or building backlinks, embedding your video, etc...

This assumes the free videos are useful.

    A few ideas:

    - eBooks
    - courses
    - affiliate products

Just create or promote and sell as you wrap up your video. Takes some effort but all sales requirement a bit of a commitment. Courses and eBook do well in the health niche. Focus on creating super helpful videos to prime your audience for the buy and be clear on noting your call to buying action. I begin and end my videos these days holding up my eBook aka paperback. No confusion with what I sell.

The idea is good but you should target long tail keywords to have any chance to rank.

The health niche is really competitive so you can't target broad keywords without having a following

You can search for health affiliate offers and in the end of the video recomend it to people .But how many people says here its very risky to give advice to people and you can get disabled very fast
