Wordpress or Joomla?

What does everyone prefer these days? I hate to say it after many years of using Joomla, I think Wordpress had a lot more to offer in terms of free apps etc.

    Wordpress. No question.

    Easier to use, faster, can do almost anything with the right plugins.

    I moved to Joomla from Mambo, but gave up on it about 11 years ago, in favour of WP.

    Best CMS's.. imo:

    WP
    Drupal
    Joomla

    In that order.

    WP is dead-simple.

    Joomla is insanely over-complicated.

    Having used both, I would say Wordpress. Only for the abundance of plugins and development the platform received.

    However, if you have a degree of techinical proficiency, you will prefer the backend development flexibility Joomla offers you over Wordpress.
