So many filipino VAs why aren't there more spanish ones?

I placed this in Internet Marketing, please move if there is a better section.

I found this article https://blog.hubstaff.com/virtual-as...e-philippines/

My understanding is that english is a first class language in the Philippines after tagalog.
What other reasons are there for the lack of south american VAs?
South america is in the same timezones as the USA. Is there a market for developing an outsourcing company in South America?

Please share existing south american outsourcing companies.

    IMO . . . no.

To be honest, I don't think most profitable marketers care where their VAs come from. They care that the VA's work meets or exceeds their standards, is done on time, and for a reasonable price. They care that they can effectively communicate with their VA and that the VA will be available when needed.

Your emphasis seems to be on geography, but the ubiquity of the Internet makes VA geographic locations a non-issue for most Internet marketers. An outsourcing company could be located anywhere and their outsourcers could live anywhere.

    Just my opinion, of course.

Huh. I'm fond of hiring Filipinos VAs myself and come to think of it, I never actually thought about hiring from South American countries that much. I do agree the time zones would make work easier, but I guess I've grown accustomed to the VA adjusting their hours for me. I have read somewhere that they've got a growing outsourcing industry, but it's not as talked about as it is in Asian countries like India and the Philippines, that's for sure. Perhaps VA work isn't a popular job down there? Who knows?

    I guess I'm an expert
I have hired over 100 VA's based on the Philippines and the quality is always higher than South Americans.

    Better work ethic.

    * I'm actually South American

The home county of a VA doesn't matter. The work ethic, cheery nature and cultural knowledge of a VA does matter.

Pinoys check all boxes it seems. But again; not so much any culture or race as much as it's the ease of connecting with folks, the drive and all the intangibles. I think too; many Filipinos see being a VA as a thing to do for work so it is popular there. Not so in South America, where folks choose different lines of employment.

      The home country matters 100%

Example: People in India have a lot more holidays than someone in Australia.
The Philippines electricity is horrible compared to Thailand....
Thailand internet speed is lower than Malaysia...

      Clearly, it matters.

VAs from the Philippines are very well prepared and well educated, most of them finished college and their price per hour is ridiculously low.

Basically they have a exceptionally good quality/cost ratio. And they are also humble and in general great people. That's why most people get a VA from Philippines and don't even bother to search somewhere else.

Agreed - I have found working with them wonderful. Better yet, when I ask them whether they can do something, they tell me the truth. Often what I am asking for is either crazy hard or impossible. They let me know. I find culturally (just my ad hoc observation), folks in India and South America always say "yes - I can do that" and of course they can't, whereas my Philippine folks tell right up front!
