I just want to know, if i publish a eBook under the amazon platform, does this prohibit me from selling the same book on my website?

My understanding is that it's possible but NOT if you are using Kindle Select.

But - I'm not Amazon - and that's where to get a definitive answer.

You can sell the pdf on your website also. Let it be approved on kindle once after that u can sell it from your website easily.

I have a book on magic spells which I sell on kindle but also get a lot of sales via twitter and other places. I redirect the traffic from these networks to my sales page and then once sale is confirmed, redirect them to a optin and then download page...

The greater question is why would you not sell your book on amazon from your site. IE use YOUR social media and website efforts to sell a single product? Just because you have a book on Amazon, doesn't mean its going to sell... generating traffic to that offer from your own web presence only makes sense.

Sure - I've done this where digital e-book sells on Amazon and then on my site I have the eBook as part of various different packages with additional formats, bonus materials + packages with coaching/updates, etc...

If you are enrolled in KDP Select you would have to use their link to sell your book. This would redirect you website customers to your books Amazon page for purchase, therefore, Amazon gets their share in the profit.

If you are not on KDP Select you can sell your book anywhere you like.

It all comes down to how much money are you losing by leaving your book on Amazon. By unenrolling in KDP Select you will also lose the promotional benefits of being on KDP Select.
