Is there any differences between .com or .info or .net in terms of trust and credibly?

Hello Warriors,

I am planning to buy a domain name for my brand and now wondering if there is any differences between .com or .info domains in terms of credibly from visitors side?

I mean, if a person see that my domain name is .info , can it harm to my business because it could look like not trusted domain?

What about search engines? Does google like more .com domains?

    I think if people are buying something they like to see the .com as opposed to if they are seeking information i don't think it matters as much.

    Yes. You cannot afford to risk and waste time and money with .info even if they gave it to you for free. In close to 20 years I think I have also seen a .info site on page 1 of Google possibly only one single time ever.

    I use .info and .net when the desired .com is not available. It all depends on how you promote your site.

    I think people on this forum might view things entirely different than the general public who may not even look at the URL.

    We look for things like that. I suspect that the general public clicks on the big blue words and doesn't notice anything else and even if they do, it's generally meaningless to many of them.

    That said, if you want returning visitors, people tend to remember all domain names as being .com ones, whether they are or they are not. You don't want people for your mywonderfulprodcuts.net website going to your competitor at mywonderfulprodcuts.com because they incorrectly remembered your domain name.

    Huh, Actually I didn't see any proper answer for difference between those TLDs, .ORG is mostly using for charity or the non-charity organization, If you use .net extension, It indicates you can use it for networking or database sites. .com is for general purpose websites. likewise, .Info indicates that site is specifically rich information but it depends on the way you writing tho and marketing perspective also bit different.

    I would definitely choose a dot com. They seem to be the most popular, and probably the most trusted by the average person. More importantly, make sure you put the right keywords in your domain name so it is catchy, relevant and easy to remember.

    Well, to answer just check what the biggest corps and businesses are using.
    I'd go with .com unless your BRAND Name is so important to you and you absolutely must use it and cannot get .com for that, then maybe consider what's available...

    I always get a .com if it's something that I am looking at using longterm.

    sometimes people go for alternative domain extensions if the .com is already taken. This is really not a good idea because you might end up losing some of your traffic to the .com

    .com is still the best but you'll have very very limited option on the domain name compared to other extensions.
