Quick JV Brokering and Affiliate Tracking question.

1) I'm looking to promote other people's products through other people's lists on a pure performance basis. A potential issue I can see with this is the list owner going around me to deal direct with the affiliate network like ClickBank. I know this would happen more in the MMO/IM space since they're more savvy about marketing, but still, how would you solve this? I thought about either getting the exclusive rights to the product so people can only go through me, or offering a very valuable bonus that they can only get from me. What would be best?

2) I really don't want to be stuck promoting only products from affiliate networks. I want to be able to approach and partner up with anyone who has a great product and promote them. So that means I would have to ask them to sign up for some kind of an affiliate tracking software to track sales. What software do you guys use or recommend for this? Would something like JVZoo or idevdirect work for this? I just need something simple to start with.

Any guidance/ideas especially from JV Brokers/Managers would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, JVZoo makes it easy to set up a product or funnel, and track affiliate sales, handle refunds etc.

FYI . . . most list-owners will want to know the stats of the product or course before considering it, so you need a method of testing them first, such as your own list, or using paid ads (which will convert less well than a list, but sill still give you some stats to compare with alternatives). Or work with existing products/courses in some way, so the stats are already available.

    Hope that helps

    Chris
