Question On Amazon Affiliate Program

Hi guys, I am new to Amazon affiliate program and need the help you guys.

I am promoting some furniture unfortunately anything I want to link to them I see on amazon.com that the products have "Currently not available" written under them.

This week I found out someone ordered a product via my link but the product is not available.

What do you guys think will happen in this case? I really do not know how to put it but the bottom line is should I stop linking to products that are currently not available? Or it doesn't matter? Will I be paid for them?

    It could be a suggested product - sometimes amazon does not have it but other sellers do, So if that is the case you should get a cut from this. Not saying that is what happened but could be?

    The fun fact about amazon is that it is a marketplace that always has a product to replace one that isn`t available anymore. So you plant the cookie on the browser and then the user starts going through the website, and anything similar they buy will get credited to you as an affiliate. That's why, even if that product wasn't available, you were probably credited with something similar they bought

    If products are not available, people cannot buy them, so you get paid 0.


    But Amazon.com pays you if they buy something else (if they came to amazon via your link and buy within 3 days).


    Is it a good idea to promote something not available?


    How many people looking for the unavailable on amzon.com product end up buying something on amazon.com vs how many go look for it somewhere else and end up buying nothing from amazon.com?


    I do not know the answer, but you can easily test for yourself.

    That is why you also need to be an affiliate at eBay. It will give your client an option if they find out that amazon is not carrying your product.
