Brand New Elementor Plugin Requiring Lead Magnet Ideas ;)

Hi Guys,

First and foremost, happy 2021 to you all, I hope this year is going to be much better than the last one!

It's been sometime since I was last here on the forum, however, I live in hope that there are still some decent helpful warriors out there who are willing to help a humble guy who really struggles when it comes to lead magnets and this paid SEO targeted traffic thingy me-jig.

Okay here's the deal...So for people running a WordPress website using the ever popular Elementor plugin, I have an Elementor plugin, I have a fully functioning sales page, heck, I even have a couple of buy buttons in there as well, but for the life of me, I really struggle to get any targeted traffic to the page.

Anyway, undeterred by the lack of activity, I decided to do some research on traffic etc and I've learned that it would be a better idea to create a sales funnel and collect people's emails before trying to sell them my software, because according to my research, it takes on average, seven contacts before the customer will even consider buying anything.

Now that is all well and good, but it's at this point where I'm at a complete and utter stand still.
See, this is where I'm stuck...Because I'm really struggling coming up with what free related lead magnet I could possibly offer my visitors in return for their email address, and secondly and probably more importantly, what would be the best way to drive targeted traffic to my page, as the software I have is new & unique, which means there obviously isn't any search terms for it and there's no keywords I can think of which I could piggy back on to send any targeted traffic to my page.

Honestly, my mind is a blank!

I'm convinced now that it's a case of me not being able to see the wood for the trees, because I've been wracking my brain that much, I've got brain freeze lol!

That being said, I'm sure there are many of you out there who when faced with something like this can simply come up with ideas at the drop of a hat (or at least that's what I'm hoping lol!) because I guess it helps when you have a fresh pair of eyes on the problems at hand, right?

Anyway, there you have it guys...what have you got? I'm all ears, throw those ideas at me, I'd love to hear your suggestions ;-)

    Congrats on your endeavor.

    If you want to go the Free route you merely need to focus on the people that are content creators, bloggers. Then just hang out where they hang out like FB groups.


    Give people examples of advantages they can see. Make short tutorial videos and upload them.

    Send it to people with big followings. Maybe there is way to get Elementor to feature you. There is actually plenty to piggyback on if you begin with how Elementor promotes Elementor. Same for other places like Canva. Have fun with it. Create graphics, set up a Pinterest etc.

      I was hoping to do the free route, but with some paid traffic in the mix as well.



      When you say make some tutorial videos, I presume you mean to upload them to YouTube, right?


      I understand about trying to get people with big followings to try and perhaps do a review or something, but I still need some sort of lead magnet related to my product which is also what I'm struggling to come up with.

  • Create a lead magnet showing people how and why the problem your plugin solves... is costing them money (help make them more money). Do it right and you'll have the perfect lead magnet that naturally leads into your product.

    At least then you already know that the people signing up are a perfect fit.

    After reading the lead magnet they must want that problem solved. Your plugin must also be positioned as the only, or best solution.

    Would be nice to give them a free option to solve their problem too. That way you aren't there just to make money from them, but to help them regardless of whether they buy from you or not. That will also increase sales if you do it right.

    The best marketers are the ones who know marketing well enough to ignore what the majority of marketers do.

      I already have a video on the sales page and there's also a full demo video showing what the plugin does and it's benefits. So if I create a lead magnet demonstrating what the plugin does and it's benefits, I'm just repeating myself from the sales page, right?

        No no no Marky. Creating a lead magnet about your plugin isn't what I was saying. Nobody wants to download a sales message for your plugin in exchange for their contact details.

        What problem does the plugin solve? Now, imagine you have no plugin and you are just trying to educate people on the problem. How would you go about that?

        If I have a plugin, for example, that helps people create quizzes for free on their websites; I would create a lead magnet showing people the benefits of quizzes and how they engage your audience, thus increasing conversions... and so on. I'm not selling them on the plugin. I'm selling them on quizzes.

        I educate them on how powerful quizzes are, and THEN introduce the plugin. So, the lead magnet is not about the plugin. It's about quizzes. I need to sell them on the importance of quizzes. Once I sell them on that idea, I can then introduce my plugin as a solution. But the plugin is NOT the focus; the power of using quizzes is the focus.

        You get me?

        Your sales video can be all about the plugin. The lead magnet should be about the problem, or benefit that the plugin solves or gives them. But the focus not on the plugin itself.

        People want results, not plugins, eh?

          I think I still have a slight case of tinsel brain from the Christmas period lol! After your suggestion though, I seem to remember hearing someone once who said, sell them the sizzle and NOT the steak, right?


          Great suggestion, I really need to get my thinking cap on and consider my approach to this now
