The key to using Facebook ads?

In all seriousness, has anyone on here had success with Facebook ads?

Why does it seem like such a complicated thing across the internet'?

Some marketers rely solely on Facebook ads which I think is deficient..

Anyway what's the key to Facebook ads?

I understand that your ad has to be good and all those things but Is there another component that the top Facebook ad people are using that others don't know?

Hilarious. But still where are the leads?....it's like people that are anti- infrastructure but you got to get to your destination via roads and bridges.

Many people kill it with Facebook ads. It all comes down to the product and whether it is actually something that people want/need/have to have. Nobody goes to Facebook to buy things so your ad better grab their attention, be something that supplies a real need and be one of those "I have to buy this NOW" type of products.

You have to pick the right target audiences and it almost always needs to be at a price point where people do not have to think about spending the money (typically $50 or less).

I'm gonna be honest mate, I've tried a couple of times, and it never brought good results. But my friend had success..., Yes, he got different niches, but I don't truly know what would be the solution for everybody. We also used the same strategy...

I've also saw people got reach with FB ads, but as I said, it never worked for me...

That's my point ... it is not a solution for every product or niche. Like all advertising, some venues work for some products and others don't.

For example, a billboard advertising your airport parking facility at the next exit works. A billboard advertising a new model electric guitar probably doesn't.

Targeting + Understanding that people are on Facebook when they want to feel connected. AKA -- they are LONELY. Nobody goes to FB when they are surrounded by family and friends. Unless to post a pic of a party/gathering. Otherwise, they are LONELY. Create yur ad with that in mind.

I was being snarky. So I edited this. Look up Tristan Harris. He speaks on how social media monetizes loneliness. And there's a ton of research (10 yrs worth) that backs it up. When you realize your prospect feels all alone in the world with their problem, you become a better copywriter. And FB ads is all about copywriting. I've run FB ads since 2014.

You??? What killed marketing forums is people talking on topics they didn't know a thing about. If you think loneliness isn't a crucial factor, I can pretty much guarantee you never wrote a winning FB ad. So why are you posting in this thread?

I suck at soccer. I don't go on soccer forums posting in threads about soccer.

I have an amazing product, for an amazing price which I make LOTS of sales on...

Everytime I have dabbled with FB ads, I fail miserably. I just end up wasting money.

I'm sure it's because I don't know what I'm doing though, since others seem to have plenty of success.

Point being...having an amazing product at an amazing price is not always enough. There are a lot of other factors to consider.

I bought some course on FB ads for $27 about a month ago. Maybe that course has the solution!

I edited this to re-word it better.

You sell a large how to play music kinda course right?

If so, the problem is that it's hard to really target the way FB is useful. Plus, on a business level, you created a dead end. The customer journey ends with one single purchase.

What I would test out is breaking it down into smaller packages. Music is already niched. Genres.

So let's say I sell how to play guitar.

It'd be better to have a course on how to play classic rock, how to play grunge, how to play punk, etc.

Not only does it give you more offers and a product line ... but that's how to use FB ads effectively. "Catch all" offers are not what get the best ROI on FB ads.

You can target very laser-like based on interests with FB.

So you can put your how to play classic rock offer right in front of people that are into classic rock. And then you think about WHY they'd want to buy that -- what void are they trying to fill?

Maybe they are 55 years old. And they never learned and they always wanted to. And maybe they're freshly divorced and lonely and they think a new hobby like playing guitar might impress a lady. Plus it fills that lonely time.

But with a single huge product? You basically created a dead end. Where does the customer go after they make that one single purchase? The road just kinda ends.

And that usually creates that "plateau" where you stay kinda stuck in the same income zone.

I use and have been very successful with:
Select and target your audience - be as precise as possible
Try 4-5 ad formats (set a very small ad budget $5/day for each format)
On your website, do some A/B testing for the landing page
Scale the best-responding ad format on FB (increase the budget)
But it all starts with the right audience.

And have a funnel that reminds them you and your solution to their problem exists. Because many do not buy the first time they see your product / service info. Humans are defective that way.

Facebook, First, in fact Approved my 3 Day paid Ad. The copy was from the company I was hoping to be a good Affiliate for. So, Facebook approved my Paid Ad. Two days later, after they had approved my ad, I get an email from Facebook saying my previously Approved and Paid for Ad, was being turned off! Contacting Facebooks so called "Support Department" only resulted in a Form Letter saying the ad wasn't completely in line with Facebook standards and a partial refund was coming. The refund did come, but a Clear answer as to WHY my paid ad was killed off, did not. All the Form letter said what I just stated above. I found out the hard way that Facebook has in fact replaced their Human Beings in their "Support Department" with Artificial Intelligence Robots! I know because after emailing them 3 times to get a strait answer only led to a duplicate form letter coming back to my email box. So much for the wonderful paid ads at Facebook who rumor has it, would fill my bank account with lots of money! What BULL_HIT!!! I had a similar experience with Twitter too. So, now I'm reading all I can on using Search Engines to market my offers now. I just don't have time to strike up a 2 or 3 day "Chit Chat" with Facebook members, hoping to sell them something on the third day or so. I'm sick and tired of theses darn set backs every time I try to earn money online! One of my mentors told me she has had the same complaints from some of her other members of her organization also. Ever since the MLM scammers told me years ago to use Facebook posts to sell their program, the result was the same! No Income. I am DONE with trying to sell ANYTHING on Social Media.

I would think it would be worth it to spend some time looking at some ads and following through to their landing/squeeze page.

Yeah, sometimes we never get good results. But facebook ads are the best way to sell products, get leads and traffic to our website. Sometimes our ads are not good according to the facebook guidelines. When we create the ads according it like: Behavior Targeting, Custom Audiences, Carousel Ads and create facebook pixels

Yes, Facebook ads are very useful but when it is done in the correct way.

There are a lot of things that go into making a successful ad-campaign on any platform. Since we are living in a world of relevance, and everything is tailored to our needs and interests. Our timelines are carefully curated, our news sources are personalized, and social media platforms play into this game of relevance, delivering the content their users want to see.
