How should I monetize itunesdownload.net?

I have a website promoting itunes on my domain: itunesdownload.net.
The site is getting about 600 uniques per month but only making about $2 in sales from purchases of music through my Linkshare itunes link.

How can I better monetize this domain?
Is there a way I can put up links to download itunes software and get commission on a pay per install basis?
Any other suggestions?

Thank you,

Ben

If you use Linkshare, you can get links to basically everything on itunes. Add movies, tv shows, apps, video games, etc. Add everything itunes downloads related and then market the site for traffic.

Create a video about itunes and your site, upload it to youtube.

Ask your friends to view, rate and comment on it to get high rank on Youtube and search engines.

    Good Luck.

      Here is my 2 cents...

If it were me I would signup with Amazon and sell iPods and other mp3 players and their accessories.

I would also promote ringtones through a CPA.

I might also do a review/comparison of itunes, rhapsody and Yahoo music.

Just think of other things your visitors might use and promote them along with itunes just be careful you don't dilute your site's main topic.

      Good luck!

I would not invest a whole lot of time into this project.

Itunes is an Apple trademark and I am fairly certain that Apple is one
of those companies that goes after people using their trademarks in
        their domains.

You may be under the radar at the moment, but you should be prepared
to possibly receive a cease and desist letter at any time.

          Thanks for the suggestions.
I am also considering listing it on Flippa or Sitepoint.

I was about to say the same thing here. You have used a name that has copyrights. You cannot just rip off names like that and run with it, you will find yourself in litigation.

Anyone foolish enough to buy this domain from you is getting shafted as well. Why don't you just call it a day and drop it and move on to something else. Do some keyword research and start over. Riding the coattails of I-Tunes will get you sued.

Why can't you just put in some time and research with a free keyword tool...guess that would be like putting in some work...just easier ripping off trade names huh?

How is sending traffic to them through their own affiliate program and making them sales ripping them off?

I am not using their trade name to promote a competing product.
I am using a good keyword domain name to promote their product.
How is that any different than the hundreds of other affiliates promoting their product?

I picked up the domain on the Godaddy aftermarket and I am just trying to best monetize it.

So I guess that means I am to lazy to do any work.

I am not doing much with the domain and I just wanted some opinions

            Thank you for yours.

Not necessarily ripping them off, but you might want to read this:

Apple - Legal - Copyright and Trademark Guidelines

              Especially section 9.

    Hey Ben,
The warriors don't mean anything bad they just want the best for you. You never know maybe Apple want to make some money and decides to sew you. Its stupid but the stupid cases are the ones that win the most money. My advice just sell the domain name and move on. Yea you lost a site with great potential but you still got a lot of opportunities. Make some money from it and reinvest in a different site. I wouldn't go to much in to music downloads because you can pretty much get any song you want online for free I mean you just go to youtube and convert it to an mp3.

If you decide to stick with the site I would say use it and put adsense and cpa offers. Thats where the real money is at.

    Good Luck

I agree w/ others here, and I speak from experience. You should flip this one as soon as possible. Eventually that domain will be signed over to Apple. I was making decent money w/ several iphone and ipod domain names, and now Apple owns them and didn't have to pay me anything. It is their trademark and copyright, so they by law have rights to that domain name.

ps - you'll be lucky to even flip this one for a decent price. Most buyers know to stay away from Apple's trademark.
