How to find a Marketing Strategist for Restaurant?

INTERNET MARKETING

Hello all, my cousin in the Caribbean island of Trinidad opened a Restaurant for his daughter just before Covid so things have been rough. He's asked me about hiring a Strategist who knows the business and have had success with it.

So it's not only Marketing help he needs but also I guess someone who is efficient at managing a Restaurant's daily strategies in addition to Marketing.

Can anyone tell me how one goes about finding such a person please? Thanks.

Someone who know and has had success running a restaurant? Or someone with experience/success marketing/promoting a restaurant?

Judging from the spam we delete on this forum, my guess is many small businesses hire 'online marketers' who do nothing but post spam links on forums or wherever they can 'stick' the links. I doubt these have any positive effect on improving the business paying them for 'marketing' or 'seo'.

I would think a local marketer or marketing company that knows the area would be a better fit for a local restaurant. But that's just where I would start with it.

Yes, that is exactly what I had advised him to do first. Someone had approached him with a "trial" basis so we need to see how that will work out but if it should not then what? He would need to try some online option I am thinking?
