Sage Words of Wisdom from eMarketing Gurus
I've been operating in an entertainment niche for about 20 years. During that time I've built up a pretty good mailing list (50k + 100 to 200 new subs every day), and my site gets approx. a million unique hits per month. It would be more if I put some effort into blogging again.
The products I've been selling up until now, they've become a bit passe. So sales have dwindled slowly over the years. Interest in the niche remains strong though, or it's not zero at least. I had considered ditching it all and going and doing something else instead. But I've put an amount of time effort and money into that traffic. I was reading a post here about Clickbank, and about how you should be thinking in terms of list building, and cross-selling them on other products and services.
If you got stuck on a desert island with nothing but that list, and that traffic (yes work with me here!) - what would you do? Could you do something with that? Like, what would be your simplified strategy? Any wise words would be greatly appreciated thanks.
