Product Launch Formula - Lead Generation?

10 replies
Hello;

I've looked at Jeff Walker's new PLF program a bit, and everyone that has used it seems to have had very good results with it. I am primary looking to learn more about the latest / best lead generation tactics. I've spent a good deal of time learning copy writing in the past and own material from the old gurus like Jay Abraham.

For anyone that has used PLF for a while, how much does he focus on lead generation? How useful would this tool be to you if you already were fairly confident in your conversion ability?

Are there any other products that focus on current lead generation tactics (e.g. making optimal use of social media in today's environment) that you would suggest?

Thank You very much for your time.

    Creating a loyal following through the regular development of high quality, relevant content is the key. By doing this, you will gain the trust of your audience over time, so that when you're ready to do a launch, you've already got your own base to work with.

    It's not a quick bang, "HEY LET'S CIRCLE A DATE ON THE CALENDAR IN 6 WEEKS" approach.

    JV partners certainly help, but in the end, building your own loyal following over time is the key.

      This is the strategy that I am currently following, building quality content for my sites.

      Based on Jeff's PLF videos and web site, I got the impression that he has developed some tactics / methods to achieve large amounts of traffic much more quickly than one would normally be able to (by creating content and waiting for search engine traffic).

      In some of the videos, I had the impression that within 60 days of their purchase the people where achieving $10,000+ launches. That just seems too short of a time frame to get that much organic traffic, even if you have some super niche market. So I am making the assumption that he must have other legitimate marketing techniques to generate enough leads in 60 days to achieve $10,000+ launches.

      Thank You.

        It's called PPC and JVs.

    Are you looking to buy Product Launch Formula? Or do you already own it?

      I was looking at purchasing it, and am trying to ascertain if it contains enough unique information about lead generation that it would be worthwhile for me.

      Thanks.

        Thanks.

        It's probably not the best fit for you.

        Doing a launch is a great way to build a list if you've got a product and good JV partners.

        It's also a great way to increase the size of your list if you already have a list... I've had plenty of PLF Owners in niche markets who had a smallish list (say 1000-2000 people) who doubled the size of the list with an internal launch (ie, no partners). This happens almost through osmosis... basically you generate enough buzz through your launch to create word of mouth... and your list grows. That works well in niche markets, not necessarily in IM or "make money" markets.

        In both those instances, it's basically the best way to grow your list... because you end up with a warm, responsive list.

        HOWEVER, I don't consider Product Launch Formula to be primarily a lead generation tool or product. It's more a method for creating world-beating conversion.

        The list build is a by-product. In reality, in the long run the by-product ends up being more valuable than the sales... but it's still a by-product.

        If you're starting from scratch, it isn't the best first product. And if you simply want lead generation and you don't fit those two scenarios above, then it's not the right product.

          Jeff, that may be the first time I've seen a product creator come on a public forum and tell someone that their product might not be the right fit. While I don't own PLF (yet), I've watched the various launches and respect the way you do business. Your post here just bumped the respect meter a few more notches...

          Jeff;

          Thank you very much for your response. I have to say it is wonderful to see someone with your honesty and level of integrity.

          I've worked with Internet Marketer James Burchill quite a bit in the past. He purchased PLF 2.1 I believe. He told me that your PLF product is excellent.

          I very much appreciate your honestly in letting me know that PLF isn't the right fit for me right now. I know that you have valuable information to offer, and will defiantly take a look at PLF again, once I have a list established.

          Thank You,

            Great thread,

            Love seeing this kind of honesty & transparency in IM.

            Jeff,

            Thanks for all the great vids & content you provided recently, very insightful. Hope you did well on the 2.3+ launch.

              As a happy PLF customer - I would only add to Jeff's comments that his package will help on the conversion side of your list building campaign.

              I've been list building for a long time online - after Jeff's course, my conversions (both opt-in and converting existing list into buyers) went way up.

              Traffic is only half of the equation (less than half actually), offering great value and conversion is the missing piece for most people - that's what PLF does help with.
