Sig files & the 5 line rule...

I notice someone got an infraction warning for breaking the sig file rule...

the problem is, the sig line anchors to the bottom of the text in the post,
if the post is only one line it will appear directly below it.

Now, it is possible that the sig might look like it has more than 5 lines of white space below it - this is caused by the profile info to the left.

If reporting sig file violations, please be mindful of this.

    Hey Karl, I got an infraction for sig violation but don't see what wrong with it. Is there?

      there's nothing wrong with it...

      the problem is, the info to the left is making the post look large...
      the sig anchors to the top - I think your sig is only 3 lines if i'm right.

          The infraction will expire eventually...

          If your post is less than 2-3 lines, hit enter a couple of times after, this will put the sig at the bottom.

    And reporting things within the first couple hours as infractions in a brand new forum... WOW! Amazing... Being mindful would be a good idea to say the least...

    Maybe it's (infraction) something that is auto generated without a human being?

        Yes, that is one way to stop it - but, as we are allowed them, providing they fall within the forum rules - I think it's only fair to let other members know the issue.
