From DIY (bum marketing, etc.) to Adwords, I think it's best to do the work yourself, or hire a respected SEO person/team to improve your traffic.

Different niches do better with different resources. Tell us more about your website or niche, and we may be able to provide helpful advice.

There are really a lot of options. There's always PPC if you have money to invest, but you need to really understand what you are doing so you don't lose a lot of money.

"Bum marketing" or article marketing is my favorite way of gaining traffic. You need good content for your site, so you can submit articles and use them as blog posts. You can use free blogging sites, like blogger and wordpress and build free blogs around your keywords pointing back to your main site. Squidoo lenses and hubpages also work for this.

Submitting RSS feeds and social bookmarking can bring some traffic. Blog commenting on other blogs with useful comments that link back to your site. Answering questions on Yahoo answers.

Building good content is key also and if you are consistent will help bring in the search engine traffic.

There is so much good information in this forum if you look for it.
        Good luck to you.

That is a pretty wide-open question, like eibhlin suggested... we really need to know more.

You could do some forum posting. Go to a forum that deals with dating, and add useful comments and contribute as much as possible and have a link in your sig. That should get some really targetted folks to your site.

There is sites and services that will drive traffic to your sites .

This is a poor business model.

Learn to drive the traffic yourself . The long term effects will be a lot better .

What if you find a site that drives the desired traffic ... you start to depend on it ... they go out of business ?

I am not saying you would never want to outsource this . Just learn to do it yourself ... you are the only one who can really help your own business when the chips are down .

Do a search through the Wf for website traffic . Think you will find some great answers and solutions for your problem.

Not trying to be mean here ...just the facts.

You are doing something wrong in the AM process if you are getting no results .
