Most of them are actually American...it's just that British accents make them seem more sophisticated and intelligent.

      Are you serious?

I find this quite funny, I actually find Americans and Canadians coming across as more natural salesmen and women in videos that Ive seen.

Maybe I should look into video IM if that is how we are percieved but I think you might have a change of heart if you heard my accent

That at least USED to be true.

I don't know about ACCENTS, but english is probably the most popular language spoken by a large market that has money and uses the latin character set. OH YEAH, the language is also fairly standardized. So it figures that English would be one of the most worthwhile languages.

      1. Mandarin Chinese - 882 million
      2. Spanish - 325 million
      3. English - 312-380 million
      4. Arabic - 206-422 million
      5. Hindi - 181 million
      6. Portuguese - 178 million
      7. Bengali - 173 million
      8. Russian - 146 million
      9. Japanese - 128 million
      10. German - 96 million

When you take into account that chinese, arabic, hindi, bengali, and japanese even have problems with characters, and chinese, spanish, arabic, hindi, bengali are spoken by a LOT of impoverished people(One reason why there are so many cheap chinese goods, cheap indian services, spanish migrants, and so much moslem strife), and English is such a popular second language, English is a good choice.

BTW some English accents just sound nice.

All I knew about him was he offered some pretty good bonuses if people bought from his link so I figured I would contact him. When he responded i took it the wrong way .<-- has to learn not to do that so much. Anyway long story short he is a pretty swell guy and I learned some good stuff from him.

There is an old skit on "I love lucy" and old TV series in the US. Part of it is where LUCY, to "help out her cuban husband" hires an english teacher. And he says that there are two words you should never use! "One is swell and the other is awful." Of course, lucy HAS to find out what these words are! Swell is NOT often used unless talking about an enlargement of something such as "Put ice on that arm to help reduce the SWELLing!". Merriam webster concurs!

        Main Entry: 1swell
        Pronunciation: ˈswel
        Function: verb
        Inflected Form(s): swelled; swelled or swol·len ˈswō-lən; swell·ing
Etymology: Middle English, from Old English swellan; akin to Old High German swellan to swell
        Date: before 12th century
        intransitive verb
1 a : to expand (as in size, volume, or numbers) gradually beyond a normal or original limit <the population swelled> b : to become distended or puffed up <her ankle is badly swollen> c : to form a bulge or rounded elevation
2 a : to become filled with pride and arrogance b : to behave or speak in a pompous, blustering, or self-important manner c : to play the swell
3 : to become distended with emotion
        transitive verb
1 : to affect with a powerful or expansive emotion
2 : to increase the size, number, or intensity of <swell the applicant pool>

        synonyms see expand

        Main Entry: 2swell
        Function: noun
        Date: 1606
1 : a long often massive and crestless wave or succession of waves often continuing beyond or after its cause (as a gale)
        2 a : the condition of being protuberant b : a rounded elevation
3 a : the act or process of swelling b (1) : a gradual increase and decrease of the loudness of a musical sound; also : a sign indicating a swell (2) : a device used in an organ for governing loudness
4 a archaic : an impressive, pompous, or fashionable air or display b : a person dressed in the height of fashion c : a person of high social position or outstanding competence

        Main Entry: 3swell
        Function: adjective
        Date: 1785
        1 a : stylish b : socially prominent
2 : excellent --used as a generalized term of enthusiasm

As this is an English language forum (mostly), you need to look at the proportion of British members relative to the English-speaking world, not to the whole world. That's probably around 15-20%, which I'd guess roughly corresponds to the WF proportions.

In the version I heard, the teacher says "There are two words you should never use: one is swell and the other is lousy" To which the pupil replies "Okay, what are they?"

this exactly the type of stuff that we were talking in another thread some time back, always keep in mind that there is a big big world out there besides WF and Kern & Reese.

As I started to make some connections on linked in I started seeing all kinds of internet marketers that I never ever heard of or seen any of their products, but they have coaching seminars for $10.000 a seat...I've seen internet marketing consultants, doing stuff for corporations and medium sized businesses at some amazing rates.

And there were plenty of them who were asian or british, seen a couple of germans in there too.

    What Lance said.

Chances are when you think "super affiliates" you think of people pimping products to the make money online crowd.(One vertical.)

These guys, the "gurus", make in a year what real super affiliates make in a few weeks if that long.

My definition of a super affiliate is someone who works in different verticals and is consistently selling 20%+ of said product(s) that he/she promotes.

Well I have seen Google ads in my local language.. but they are definitely not from affiliates (mostly for insurance, banking etc. )

I would say that we can sell in other languages but currently there are hardly any affiliate programs targeted specifically for other countries

That depends on the accent, though. I am English and personally prefer marketing videos and instructional videos etc. by American speakers. As I said though, it depends on the British accent in question. If it is a very clear and well spoken southern accent then it's OK. I doubt that many would appreciate someone with a Birmingham or Liverpool accent, or even worse, a Scottish accent trying to sell/teach them stuff. Overall, I think Americans are easier to understand

I don't know about british accent, but good command of english language is a
must if english is not your native language (my case) and you want to
      market to english speaking world.

Regarding accents, I'm from south Europe and I certainly have a strong
accent, but when I hear marketers from other parts of the world, e.g.
Asia, speak english in their promo videos and audios then I love my
accent. They sound so horrible that I hardly understand what they are
      talking about.

One of the biggest misteries for me, though, is that they
are often very successful and their products sell. Another mistery for me
is the fact that they have no complexes at all about their horrible english.
They crank out videos/audios and sell them as they were most popular
native british or american TV idols. That kind of self confidence can't be
explained even by most successful psychologists in the world.
