Just Noticed the Warrior Forum has a Facebook Page....

....is THIS the "official" Warrior Forum Facebook Page?

Login | Facebook

Not that 600+ members isn't impressive, but, there is a HUGE opportunity on Facebook to 'connect' with fans....I'd personally welcome daily/weekly updates from Warrior Forum....

Has anyone considered putting a little "Facebook" icon on the home page here so that people can easily connect?

...just seems like a tremendous opportunity is being missed here...

thoughts?

Im a fan of it, if its beneficial for the forum. Im certainly not a fan if it means filling this place with 18 year old kids hoping to make a million dollars overnight.

Whoever made this group abandoned it. Then there was a own this group button. I jumped in and made Paul Myers the admin... Whoever owns the group can send out messages to all the members.

    That's a stupid feature on facebook's part.

      Sumit,

Creators of Facebook Groups can only mass email up to 5,000 members...

....I had actually made a mistake in my initial post....Facebook recently made their "GROUPS" and "PAGES" platform look utterly identical....

So, that 'group' isn't a 'page' like I had initially said....

......Facebook Pages have preferred functionality for a Forum like Warrior Forum...

I'm REALLY surprised this forum doesn't have an official FACEBOOK PAGE yet.....

Facebook grows by over 70,000 new members weekly (or so says Mark Zuckerberg (sp?), Founder of Facebook)....and they have over 300,000,000+ members worldwide....

Seems like Warrior Forum is missing a tremendous opportunity here....

Even brands like the one's I posted above see the opportunity...

      just saying lol

Don't think Allen cares. I've never seen Allen Says promote himself or his product. I guess he likes to ride on the word of mouth technique way too much.

Put up an incredible product at an insanely low price (take WF as an example) and the rest will be taken care of, automatically. I guess, he's not so much of a marketer. Just a nice guy who understands human psychology..

        Just my point of view,
        Sumit.

Missing an opportunity to do what? In see no similarities between this
forum and the brands mentioned above.

          errr....are you kidding?

I'm prepared to write a very long post about the MANY ways that Warrior Forum could leverage its own Facebook Page, but....I'm just really shocked that one hasn't been constructed yet....

No... I'm not kidding in the least. I know nothing about you but I do
know that Allen Says is one of the most brilliant internet marketers in
            the business.

There is nothing you could possibly know, or even suspect, that he hasn't
            already considered or tested.

So... without writing a doctoral thesis on the subject tell us how you
think having a Warrior Forum Facebook Page would benefit the forum,
            its members and Allen...

Please leave out the possibility of attracting thousands of new tire kickers.

            ok...I'll jump....

            1) If Warrior Forum had a Facebook Page to complement its forum, it could further reinforce a sense of community amongst all those involved. When a sense of community is fostered, people become even more loyal to a brand.

            2) Traffic. Tons of people visit Warrior Forum everyday, BUT not as many as could be attracted had Warrior Forum established a Facebook Page of thousands upon thousands of users. People would gladly join, and whenever Warrior Forum felt so inclined, they could post a message/update, and immediately see an influx of visitors. Open ended questions would be essential and could further engage users to participate in the forum....

            3) Does having a massive online presence on several forms of social media REALLY hurt? By interconnecting the forum with Twitter and Facebook, especially, the forum can further amplify its message to the masses. Creatives applications/contests can be held, and forum members can be further engaged and inspired to contribute more and more. If anything, this would only serve to benefit the forum.

            4) Consider all the people that JOIN Warrior Forum, read a few posts, and never return again. Had they joined Warrior Forum's Facebook page (willingly and of their own free will), they would be exposed to daily/monthly updates that are broadcasted immediately. In the business of today's society, no matter how much someone 'likes' a brand, there a million and one competitors vying for the same attention. Yes, Warrior Forum may not have TONS of other competitors, however, there are quite a few brands out there that are striving for users' attention.

People who join the Facebook Page would not only be welcoming to these updates, but they would actually look forward to them and view them as a resource. Had Warrior Forum had 50,000+ Facebook fans, with each update, Warrior Forum could secure an influx of thousand of members who are ready and willing to contribute.

Not trying to get people riled or telling you how the forum should be run....just saying that there is a tremendous opportunity to further connect with an audience. For Internet Marketers, I am VERY shocked that this avenue has yet to be constructed. It would take minutes, but, the result of being able to further connect with an audience would be invaluable.

P.S. I apologize if I sounded harsh or shrill in my previous comment. I don't mean to come on here trying to prove that I "know it all"....I've just seen Facebook pages do a tremendous amount of good for brands...whether they be Skittles or Warrior Forum.....

If there is ever an opportunity to further connect, and amplify a message, I would exploit it to its max.

Warrior forum IS a brand that people are loyal to already. This loyalty could be further reinforced.

Also, consider the father who has very little time in his schedule between running his kids to football practice, etc....

It may not immediately occur to him to visit Warrior Forum. Perhaps he joined it months ago and had only visited once or twice in a few months.

Because people have become so reliant on Facebook (really, they have, and there are graphs out there that prove it)....whenever they logged into Facebook, they would be exposed to the newest update from Warrior Forum. Excited....they would visit and possibly interact.

....and, if people are willing to interact and engage a brand on Facebook, the chances are THAT much more likely that they'll 'engage' in the brand elsewhere (whether on their own website, conducting WSO's, etc....)

I hear what you're saying but this forum is a place to find help and
share expertise among those who are motivated to change their own lives
                  in some meaningful way.

If they are reliant on Facebook I don't think I can help them at this time.

I doubt you'll find an enterprise of this type anywhere on the 'net that
has done more to foster a sense of community and brand loyalty than this
              forum.

What is the point of creating a sudden influx of visitors to this forum?
For what purpose? The only purpose I can think of would be to create
sales of something Allen might be promoting. While that might produce
a short term gain for Allen I think it's just as likely to create some unrest
              among the loyal membership.

              3) Does having a massive online presence on several forms of social media REALLY hurt? I don't plan marketing around what doesn't hurt... only around what
will help. I suspect Allen has a similar philosophy. How would amplifying
the forum's message to the masses benefit the forum, its members or
              Allen Says?

              4) Consider all the people that JOIN Warrior Forum, read a few posts, and never return again. I know of no legitimate competition for what we're doing here at the Warrior Forum.
Take a look at the number of current members the next time you log in. Last time
I looked I believe the number was in excess of 160,000. A forum isn't like a box
of soap. You can join more than one at a time...

People who join the Facebook Page would not only be welcoming to these updates, but they would actually look forward to them and view them as a resource. Had Warrior Forum had 50,000+ Facebook fans, with each update, Warrior Forum could secure an influx of thousand of members who are ready and willing to contribute.
              Pure speculation.

I don't think anyone is getting riled. I look at marketing with a very dispassionate
eye. I don't speculate on what might happen. I test to see what will happen.
Some things, on their face, aren't worth testing because the likely results aren't
              anything I'd want anyway.

In any case, I appreciate you taking the time to post your thoughts but all
I really saw was a lot of "features." (what could possibly happen) I still fail to
see the benefit of any of it to this forum, its members or Allen Says.
