there are many ways to build a website from scratch. The most popular way to build a site is too use Wordpress and then customize it with plug -ins. I remember a long time ago, I would build a site using HyperVRE. Those were the days.

Just do a Google Search for Free wordpress themes and pick one that you like.

First, if you are a newbie you don't need a
site to sell a product. There are hundreds of
Web 2.0 sites where they allow you to create
a mini site and start sending traffic to it..

Some of the more popular sites include weebly.com
    webs.com, blogspot.com, squidoo.com, hubpages.com

You can easily learn how to create webpages
through these web 2.0 sites. Try using them first.

If you still want to build your own site then
just search for "Free HTML templates" on Google
and download a template you like and edit it using
nVU (free download) or Microsoft Frontpage..

    That would get you started..

    All the best,

Hello...There is a free E-book called Quick Cash Convert Virtual Real Estate Into QuickCash on Michelle Adams' blog at :Online Money. Even though her book talks about flipping sites, the first half of it will tell you how to set up your blog. Thought I would share this since it is free and it is step by step. In regards to the advertising, I would start off with a Google Adsense account and work my way from there. The sky is the limit really. Wish you the best...(Just wanted to say that I'm not affiliated with the above link, fyi.)

My two cents here unique26. You need not know all these technical stuffs as a beginner. Just learn the word OUTSOURCE. Give your job to someone that is adept in a field you are lacking and this will save you a lot of worries.

I can help you out if you want with setting up wordpress. I am in a giving mood this weekend and you won't be an extra headache. I will help another newbie get started by helping you install a ready-to-go professional Wordpress blog that will include your affiliate products.

All you have to do is do your research to find your niche, register your domain and get it hosted and leave the rest to me.

PS: installation alone, no content. You handle all that.

get back to me soon please.

    Happy 2010

      Hello

Building a site is always a draw back.

Especially if your new to webdesign.

Like everyone else has been saying word press is a great way to get started.

Also if you dont want to use wordpress and want to start your own website here is an easy way to get started.

There is software out there that is a breeze.

You can get it at pagebreeze.com

The software is called page breeze and it is very simple to use.

No worries about knowing html coding.

You can add text and just copy and paste your images in this editor.

      Makes it very simple.

The software will add the coding automatically.

Also page breeze is free to use.

If you need any other help or suggestions send me a pm and i can give you a hand at setting one up

Watch ya. So you are just starting out in the affiliate marketing game. To sell someone else's product you don't have to have your own website. If the only thing your interested in is to sell other people's products l would advise you to start by going to clickbank.com pick a product that is selling well then start creating some squidoo lenses for these products, this is quite simple to do. It's also quite simple to get the lenses on the first page of Google. (If you know what you're doing). This is how l first started to make an income via the internet.
If you need any help don't hesitate to contact me
    Good luck to ya future

Use Google Blogger. Very easy and efficient! It's so easy, even a 12 year old can do it. It's basically drag and drop.

although you can build sites from the web 2.0 properties but I would say it is safer if you have your one website or domain. Since you never know what those web2.0 properties do in terms of changing their TOS.

For example wordpress.com shut down thousand of blogs last year I think and one of them is my helper blog.

So I will suggest buy a domain name like 2-hosts.com, it's only $7.35 for a .com though and use a domain forward feature to the affiliate site.

The use article marketing methods to drive to it and test if it converts or NOT..
