Keyword and Optimization

Hi.

If my keyword is "south indian recipes" and if I have 60 articles for a site, is it a good idea to have the keyword in all the articles even if its 100% directly related related to "south indian recipes"?

Thanks.

Jim.

There are a couple things you can do. First, go look for longer tail keywords within south indian recipes. Google is generally going to pick only one of your pages for any given keyword, so you don't need 60 articles all trying to rank for the same thing. So if one is about a vegetarian dish, go with the keyword "south indian vegetarian recipes" instead. You will still have all those articles pushing your main page or home page up for your primary keyword, but you can capture all that other traffic as well.

The other thing I've done is come up with longer article titles that still include the main title. So you could do "South Indian Recipes - An Idea for XXXXX" or "South Indian Recipes - 10 Tips on YYYYY". Something like that.

As far as actually including the keyword in the article itself - sure, why not? But make sure that whatever the #1 keyword you're targeting on the page is used a few times in the article as well.

I would use all of the articles but ancor text "south indian recipes" to your home page in each article. That way your telling Google that your Home page (or another page that you want to rank high for) is the most important page for "south indian recipes"
