Camtasia without controls?

How do IMers create videos without controls?

Is it possible to do this with Camtasia?

How?

    I figured it out myself.

When you produce the video, you can edit the presets so there are no controls.

    Can I thank myself?

I realize there may be legitimate reasons to do this with your videos, but I gotta tell you that I leave every time I run into this. Especially if the video appears to be a long one, which you can sometimes discern by seeing the little moving slider at the bottom and watching for a minute or so. Invariably, people who remove the controls have long videos with smarmy sales pitches that they continually assure you are not sales pitches. I got tired of that and started voting with my feet. I may be in the minority... or I may not be. Just some food for thought before you go down that road. Again, I realize you may have totally legit reasons for doing it, so I'm not condemning it in all cases, just the ones I've seen.

Jim Edwards ran a survey. High proportion of viewers will not view any video that has no controls.

I will only view videos without controls if I already know the source (eg. a Frank Kern, Andy Jenkins or similar). Pause is important because phones ring, etc. and I presume that you want your viewers to be able to watch all of your superb content without having to start the whole thing over again after the phone call or getting that cup of coffee.

    Thanks guys for your comments.

What you say makes sense, and I also personally stay away from such videos.

But if you were right - all the big iM'ers would stop using these videos. Yet they are not. So it seems to me that if they are using no controls - it should work better. Shouldn't it?

And I'm not really asking this for practical reasons since I just needed it for an experiment. It's more of a theoretical question.

I use a really slow internet connection most of the time, so whenever I have a video with no controls I have no choice but to leave. I won't be able to watch it if it's constantly skipping and lagging.
