Post your tips for Flippa

Well we all know FLIPPA, the world's biggest site marketplace, but well some people sell their sites for low, I currently sold my for $650 (my goal was $500) , so that's $150 more than I expected.

So here you can post your tips on selling your site in Flippa....

*Always include all your profits
*Always answer as soon as possible to their comments/questions
*Always say "Thank you for your interest"
*Be Generous

    *Have something worthwhile to sell.
    *Don't say it's unique, when it isn't.

    *Never lie to your bidders
    *Put your analytics Stats
*Put your Adsense earnings for the last 2-3months.
*Show all your earning proofs (If from sites like CPALEAD, if PayPal donations ok, but link sales, then you kind of don't have to put proof for that).

Don't take this the wrong way, but if I used Flippa a lot probably the last thing I'd do is tell other users how to sell better there. It's already crazy competitive in the site flipping biz. If I had any really good selling tips I would never share them.

I agree. I've been selling for over 4 years at Flippa (since it was Sitepoint marketplace) and there's some trends that i'm seeing at Flippa that if you do this and this you'll most likely end up with successful sales. Like Zeus66 said, this kind of tips is too precious to be shared absent-mindedly, maybe someone could even compile it into an ebook and sell it for profits or something.

(I know this thread is old, but i found this from googling.... so...)

    - assume no revenue (even if screenshots are there) unless you've physically seen the books or done a live walk through showing exactly where the profits came from (i.e. - this specific site)

Many people sell sites and show revenue that appears to come from the site being sold, but in far too many cases that revenue is there from some other site they're not selling.

For God's sake learn what you need to know in order to transfer the site for your buyer before you list the site!

Being honest is the key; most people who would bid there knows what they are doing.

Customer support ... pretty much what Cash Cow (Lee) said. A lot of newbies buy the sites. Transfer the site quickly and professionally for them, if necessary. Answer their questions and help them get the ads and buy buttons working for them.

List sites that have value and show your screenshots for traffic, referrers, keywords, revenue, etc.

Don't buy some cheap PLR site and change a few words around and list it for a couple of hundred. You're just making the marketplace and sellers look bad, particularly when they find out they could have bought the same site for $2 on Tradebit.

Have a positive feedback from the buyers as it is really similar to ebay in some way.

It is not what you sell, it is how to put it across to your audience

Understand the upgrade and use it intelligently.

With Flippa, it's "guilty until proven innocent". Assume the seller is hiding something, not being direct, etc. to start with and then slowly start to do your due diligence. If you start with this mindset you'll save yourself some heartache (and cash!)

I have a bunch of tips for buyers and sellers on Flippa:

OK - we all know this is a resurrected old post - but to help out others please be aware the forum has a search feature you can use to find out threads/posts on a wide variety of topics - including flippa. These searches will include WSOs where warriors sell information on how to flip too. Finally - the owner started several all in one threads a while back which focus on specific topics - like web site flipping, see:
