This is the "Awesome!" thread

That's right, enough of these downer threads about how everything is going to hell in a hand basket. Okay, you've had your chance to air your grievances or concerns. We hear it, we get it.

Well how about an AWESOME thread? How about a thread were we thank the people here who have made a positive difference to our lives? How about a thread where NOTHING other than positive is included?

How about a thread of HOW AWESOME THIS PLACE IS?!!

I'll start.

I have been coming here for just over a year now. I can't remember how or where I heard about it, but it was just after leaving the company who has bought my last company. I had NO clue where to start with Internet Marketing but knew it's where I wanted to be.

Without this forum I'd be broke by now, I think it's probably that simple. With the help and guidance of many people in this forum (way too many to list individually, and many wouldn't even know how they impacted my life) I learned what I needed to do to put things into action and I was able to actually start making a living at it.

I want to sincerely thank EVERYBODY on this forum . . . good and bad. I have learned from each of you and it's because of your constant hints, banter, encouragement, etc and even scams, that I am able to make my living doing what I truly enjoy . . . working when and where I want, for as many hours that I want. Freedom to live my life on my own terms.

Pretty awesome indeed, thank you.

And did I mention the War Room??

Ah yes, the standard TV news format...If you make feel good stories your audience and your advertisers bail. Create a bunch of controversy and stories about drowning puppies and people flock to hear them and you get invites from your banker to go golfing.

Here's what's awesome about this forum...there are people who have been here for plus or minus a decade, whose intellects are faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and can leap tall buildings in a single bound, and they still show up everyday to share their wisdom.

Except that Monkey God guy. Must be the weight of all that sand between his toes...

      Garret,

Long ago, in a galaxy far away, I took my first journalism course.

The absolute first lecture from the instructor began with this statement:

"Dog bites man, no news; man bites dog, news!"

I suspect it has been ever thus from the beginning of time.

The Warrior Forum is fantastic. This is where I've met the majority of my friends in IM (even my fellow Japanese Warriors - like James Allen and Craig Desorcy - were first met here, then offline). Because of the Warrior forum, I've developed a network of friends around the world. This is where I first met Dr Mani, Rod Cortez, Mohsin Rasool, Elmer Hurlstone, Willie Crawford, Chris Sutton, Ken Leatherman, Michael Brown, and a host of others (Note: These aren't the proverbial IM "friend". These are real friends)

Kind of resembles a time when I went into a county fair and saw a sign that said see the lizard lady , the bearded women and a man eating chicken... $1

The lizard lady was wearing a sequined gown. I was disappointed . The next stall was the one I really wanted to see any way . I mean ... a man eating chicken, it had to be huge .

Boy was I pissed when I walked in and this dude was leaned against the wall with a bucket of kFC in his hand .

Have to admit , the bearded lady did kind of resemble Dennis though

Garret, I like your intentions behind your post. I think the difficulty in getting a thread like this going is because of what you've already identified when you wrote...
With the help and guidance of many people in this forum (way too many to list individually, and many wouldn't even know how they impacted my life) I learned what I needed to do to put things into action and I was able to actually start making a living at it.
I think that probably holds true for most folks, the ones paying attention anyway. It probably isn't useful to have page after page of people saying they want to thank everyone, so unless someone has really stood out to you so much that you want to single them out, people will be hesitant to name names because they won't want to leave anyone deserving of praise out inadvertently.

Your intentions deserved a reply, so I thought I'd take a guess at why it isn't getting a lot of comments. That, and maybe the title doesn't come across as you intended because it doesn't reflect your intention. It actually sounds kind of vain, like you've predetermined your thread to be awesome because you started it.

I, however, do thank you for starting a thread of this nature. I think for many people, it is good to know their efforts at positive contributions are appreciated.

      Thanks,

I certainly don't look at it as "my thread", I am truly hoping that it become a positive thread that will help and inspire . . . and thanks for the advise..

The short list for me would read,

      Allen Says
Paul Coleman, who is ALWAYS an inspiration
FlipDiva, whom I am always rooting for
and everybody who gives in the War Room.

While not making the big bucks many here say they make I can truly say the Warrior Forum helped me leave and stay away from the JOB world.

Actually Allen Says planted the seeds for this about 6 months to a year before I even heard of the Warriors. I read articles from him and his network (he really did invent article marketing you now) and submitted an article to it.

OK now you got me started I have to tell a funny story.

12-15 years ago I stumbled onto an article that really got me motivated. It was just a stand alone article on a page. I don't even know what site or anything. The article was about creating a direct response site and making money on the Internet. It talked about don't get bogged down with to much testing and analyzing and research things to death. In other words Just Do It.

The article was by Allen Says.

A few days later I found this fantastic article directory, (It wasn't called that but that is what it was) With this article directory you could only submit one article and it would link to other articles by other people who would link to you etc.

I don't remember how or why I had Allen Says' email address but I did. I contacted him and asked him if I could change his article a little bit and submit it to this Article Company. He wrote back and said OK. (PLR? )

So I did. Much later I found out that Allen Says Owned the Article site I submitted his ("MY") article to.

When Got eMail, (Of course we didn't call it spam) to join the Warriors for a one time fee of $50 bucks or so it was a no brainer.

With the help of Allen and his Article Site and the Warriors and finally this forum I've made some nice change. (both kinds, change in life and $change) So early on from Allen I learned about linking, Article Marketing, Membership sites, direct selling on the Internet, eMail marketing, Forum Marketing, and just about any other thing IM related that is New over and over again. War Room Membership and a visit to Allens' area in there is GOLD.

I hope this was positive enough for you.

George, I think that was the Special Reports Network. The articles were called Special Reports. But yes you are right in that I think that was around even before the about.com site.

      Back to the Awesome Thread

I think it is awesome that so many people from all over the World are willing to help each other.

I really do believe that there is a balance in life and for every negative story on the news there is something great and wonderful happening somewhere.

We get to choose which world we are going to dwell in.

I just arrived in the forum and everything has been very good.

A lot of really good content, I have bought some ebooks in the past where the content wasn't good at all.

Some of the posts here in Warrior Forum are way better than any ebook you can go around and buy, which does impress me a lot.

I hope things gets better and better. And this is a huge forum anyways. I don't know about the WarRoom, but I'm definetly thinking of getting into it.. to see if there is some good ebooks around.

I know there is a lot of FREE content in the War Room that is not available for people that normally uses the forum, I'm interested in knowing more about it.

I didn't have to buy in MASSIVE BULK to afford food for the next two weeks. I could buy a variety of things.

I didn't have to stand in the aisle debating whether I could afford something. I could buy what I wanted simply because I wanted it, without worrying that it was going to mean I couldn't afford something else.

And all of that is because in the past week, I have made more money with my WSOs than I made in the preceding six weeks.

Warriors made this happen. Fifty of them. And when you're down as far as I've been down lately? Knowing fifty people like your stuff is worth its weight in gold.

You guys rock. This place rocks. I love it here.

Being new to the Warrior Forum I am still wandering around kicking the tires so to speak but it is good to see positive responses. I have seen some great threads so far so I know jumping into the war room is in my future but I normally do some lurking before getting deeply involved.

So far the threads that I have read are excellent in helping me learn and for me that is the key.

I agree with this 100% -- I'm a new member [1st post] but have been online and mostly doing webdesign and graphics for quite some time. Have considered IM for quite a while and recently have decided to just DO IT instead of THINKING ABOUT IT. (:

What I love about this forum compared to a few others I have visited is that I feel like it's ok to ask questions, and it's ok to be new without being jumped all over for it. I get the feeling it's ok to jump right in and feel at home (:

I sometimes get emails from people telling me I'm one of the few honest marketers left. I just got one, that's what brings me back to this thread. Here's something I like about the Warrior Forum that I haven't seen mentioned yet...

I know those people telling me I'm a lone soldier are wrong. I've discovered there are a lot of people that are like me. Folks who are trying to earn a living without compromising their integrity. So thanks friends, I'd stand alone if I had to, but it's nice knowing I'm in good company.

Thanks for bringing this up, Dennis.

I have a post in the War Room and someone posted saying that I'm one of the few good guys. I responded saying that I appreciated the compliment, but that there are plenty of good people here at the WF.

In fact, we have such a high percentage of good guys and gals here that it can be a rude awakening to visit other forums.

The Warrior Forum is the best online marketing forum that I'm aware of.

A list of all the things we like about the WF could get quite long indeed.

I love WF. I was a member a few years back but forgot the email I used and the password =) So I am starting over. But the great thing is that there really is a-z here for experience levels and methods. There isn't near as much flaming as other forms and you almost always get your questions answered. So air high 5 to OP for making this thread.
