Split Pay Affiliate Script / Solution

Hello,

I'm looking to setup an affiliate program. Ideally I would like to have some kind of split pay solution. Meaning we never see the affiliates money. We don't have to cut any checks. The affiliates get paid at the time of the sale same as we do.

Are there any off the shelf solutions like that out there?

Any others experience with this?

    Hi,

ClickBank will do this, but you don't have any control over affiliates. I am sure there are others, but here is the one I use and recommend, that is a sales processing script, with built in affiliate program.

    Rapid Action Profits

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks,

    John

    Hi John,

Does rapid action profits split the payment immediately at the point of sale now? Or does it still give one full-payment to the affiliate and the next full payment to the merchant etc?

    Cheers

$7 scripts will do this for you..split sales by percentage you choose immediately, and it's much more cheaper then Rapid Action Profits.

Rapid Action Profits are much more superb and has more features, but the price is much more "superb" too, if you're just starting out

    Actually..

Neither $7 Script NOR Rapid Action Profits does split payments. They both depend on Paypal for payment processing, and split payments is against their TOS.

Instead both of these scripts alternate payments between the affiliate and the merchant, but that's where the comparison ends.

      Thanks Sid,

Did Paypal not change this situation with the "x.com" launch? As in, it is only a matter of time before some one develops this app now?

I believe Mike Filsaime was talking about doing this with paydotcom.com. No word back on that yet either though.

      Just thinking out loud.

I looked into adaptive payments quite extensively, as it could have been a great addition to my own feature set in RAP.

Since Mike had people at the PP developers conference, I had high hopes that they had correctly understood the presentations given, and that this would work in our marketplace. Unfortunately, I think Mike's "announcement" was premature, because he had placed his faith in their assessment.

Sometimes techs can get real excited about technical possibilities that just aren't feasible from a business standpoint. From what I have seen, the potential of adaptive payments is negated by the restrictions (which weren't published in the flashy power point presentations).

Unfortunately, I don't currently think it's going to happen in the IM/affiliate marketing space.

          Interesting.

Thanks for the response Sid. I always wondered why that had suddenly gone silent.

I've looked into adaptive payments with PayPal over the last few days and there doesn't seem to be any code examples anywhere that I can find. Perhaps no one is using it yet since no one has figured out how to hook into the api's yet.
