Quick Help Needed - HTML Code to Wordpress HTML

Need some guidance big-time.

Created a sales page in KompoZer looks great in KompoZer and when I upload to site and browser.

When pasting the html code from KompoZer or Text wrangler to wordpress html, lines and paragraphs do not come out right. Text gets moved around etc.

Is there a particular way I should be doing this as right now I'm doing something wrong. When I manually place line breaks in wordpress html <br> they don't save when I update the page. They disappear.

I'd like to get this sales page done tonight.

    Try installing this plugin: Dean?s FCKEditor for WordPress - a WYSIWYG editor plugin : DEAN LEE:/DEV/BLOG

    It will replace the crappy standard WP editor with something much better. I use it on all my blogs...

    Just upload the plugin and activate it.

    Click on the "source" button in the top left hand corner of the editor and paste in the code. The click "source" again to edit it in the visual format.

    Hope this works for you...

    Mark, still having the same problems. But this is a much better editor than the WP one. I'll be using it on all my sites. I'll have to keep looking for a solution. I don't know if it the theme I'm using on not. I'm using Headway.

    If any Headway users here and can give some advice, I'd appreciate it.

    Well, you are trying to get two different code styles to work as one.

    You are creating your styling code in Kompozer, but Wordpress uses the Theme's CSS Style sheet for the results. Mixing the two is not favorable.

    You can either just take the text and paste it into Wordpress and then do all the styling fresh or dig into the style sheet and remove/alter/adjust the coding as needed.

    Or, more advanced, you can create a new page template within your theme and paste in your entire HTML code there and then activate that template on the corresponding page.

    Hmm, I'm not a coder at all. I may be able to create a page template within Headway and paste the html code in. I'll have a look around.

    This has been very very frustrating, I've spent two days trying to get one sales page in WP. I know understand why I wasn't able to do it.

    Now, can I fix it, that's another issue.

    Thanks for giving me some direction. I'll see what I can do.
