HELP!!! Keynote For MAC...

Hello,

I am in the process of making a video slide show using Keynote for MAC which was suggest to me by the Video Boss in one of his videos.

I have created my Keynote presentation with a mixture of slides and video, and voice over. I pre-recorded each slide within garage band and imported it into each slide to make sure that it was perfect!

My problem is that when I watch the slide in Keynote, everything works and transitions perfectly! When I export it after recording it, the Quicktime file I export it into runs REALY slow and is not worth even posting.

What am I doing wrong?? I love what I am able to do with Keynote and think I have a raw talent in making these videos, but for some reason I cant get them from not running so slow.

Any help on this would be super awesome!

Regards,

Fred Williams

Why on earth did you import to Garage band? What type of Mac are you using and what export format?

      I am using a Mac OS X Version 10.6.2

Here is a link to show you how I am exporting it. I am choosing the "QuickTime" format.

Fred, if I were you, I'd just try switching from "Full Quality, Large" to "CD-ROM movie, Medium" and seeing what the effect is. That will tell you whether the problem is with the encoding (if it remains slow) or the playback (if it then speeds up).

Fred if you are talking about the thread I think you are, then I think you are mistaken about the instructions. I do use GarageBand, but I use it to record my audio and then I export it to screenflow. There I combine it, and match up the sequence with the visuals I recorded from my keynote presentation.

I cant even begin to understand what process you are using now, but that's not what I was describing. Personally, I dont even use keynote to record anything. I just run the presentation while recording with screenflow, and then start manipulating and the audio and video in that program.

Okay, so I tried making it even a small video and it stil got hung up but was VERY blurry.

So then I deleted all the sounds bits from garage band and it worked better. So, I guess I will have to trey recording my sound directly into keynote and see what happens there.

Garage Band may be the issue, what did you use to record keynote with?

Well, once I had my sound files imported into each slide that I did in garage band that had me talking about the slide...all I had to do in keynote was hit the record button un play in keynote and click the mouse button to change slides.

Whats a better way to do this?

I asked you what sort of Mac you are running. You have created full quality uncompressed video. That won't play back on the web, and maybe is too much for your Mac?? Is it in Intel Mac or a G4 / G5. Mac Mini?

Just record your audio in keynote and skip Garage Band.

The export format you have is fine for archive, but you need to lower the quality and maybe the resiolution for streaming.
