Wordpress version?

What WP.org version are you using. I have a lot of trouble with 2.9.2 (newest) with plugins. I put some older version to run. Thanks

    For security purposes it is recommended that you always use the latest version. There have been wordpress exploits in the past.

      hmm. WP always inform with plugins "The plugin does not have a valid header." any idea how to get rid of this and get plugins to work?

    Hi Jury - try making a list of your plugins first, back up your blog, uninstall the plugins. Then upgrade to the newest version and reinstall the plugins from your list.

    some plugins seem to work when I change structure like this:

    wp-content/plugins/askimet = good
    wp-content/plugins/askimet/askimet = not good

    let's see how does this work with my main plugins

      I just updated one of my blogs to the latest version and everything seems ok.

      I don't generally upgrade to the newest immediately. I let others run the gauntlet and find any bugs before I do it.

              Well I'm using Blog auto publisher. Its old and no longer supported now but it still works on the latest version and does a lot of stuff, so I'll probably stick with it until it's knees give out.

              Not sure about the one's you've tried.

              The first thing to look at if auto blog software isn't working is to make sure the XML-RPC and Atom Publishing Protocol boxes are checked in-

              SETTINGS-WRITING

              and then look under the REMOTE PUBLISHING section.

              Don't know if that is any use but it's worth checking.

                I realize this is obvious but are you using the newest version of the plugins? There are updates, on most plugins, that come out a little after the wp version update. I had that problem with the smart-tags plugin and after the update it worked fine.
