Filezilla problems?

INTERNET MARKETING

Hello,

I cannot uplaod any files to my web host through Filezilla. I keep getting an error message (no idea what error) and the page is now blank...

anyone else having this problem? Ayn other FTP software you can recommend me?

Filezilla works very very well for me. I have never had any problems with it. Maybe it has something to do with the ftp details?

hey sloanjim,

I am not having any problems with filezilla i have just been using it and it worked fine. You could try another FTP program called smartFTP (just google it) which i also use on my laptop which is pretty good.

I stopped using filezilla aprox 6 months ago when I caught a trojan from an out of date version of Adobe Reader, which took my Filezilla password and started putting code on ALL on my sites on this server. I noticed just as it had infected all my smaller blogs, and started on the development areas of my main website - if it had started on my live www. domain then it would of cost me massively - it still set my developer back about 3 days undoing all the code it put on and upgrading security

I use:
WinSCP :: Free SFTP and FTP client for Windows
now, I'm not technical but my developer tells me its a lot more secure, and usage wise I actually find it better / faster for transferring files.

I do have some problems a few months back. However after I de-activate my anti-virus program whenever I upload any files, everything just work fine.

Does it tell you any error message? I never ran with any problems with filezilla.. unless it is blocked by your security software. You gotta disable it. Then you go restart filezilla again. make sure that when you type in the box, there are no spaces to assure you successful login.
