Hi,

I have created my profile at twitter. I know it is quite useful to promote your business as I have article writing.

But I am unable to use in a proper manner. Can anyone guide me how to use it?

Just so you know, with Twitter, if you really want to see results, you need to have at least 5,000 targeted followers (I now have over 39,000).

The best report on twitter I have found was from a member here: dsmpublishing she has a link to it in her signature file (or at least had one). You should ask her about it.

If you go to the main discussion forum and click on the "search this forum" button you'll get a drop down box. At the bottom of that box is a link marked "advanced search", click that and you'll get a different search box. In the top right of it you can search by username, just enter the name you're looking for.

Hi

In terms of targeted followers you can search for key words relevant to your niche. So for example, if I was selling a dieting programme I would look for words like: weight, overweight, I would also then go through different diet companies etc. I would then take it to the next step and look at how often they used Twitter. How many followers they had etc.

The more targeted your twitter followers the better. Its like having a list, better to have 5000 targeted people than 20000 who don't look at your emails etc.

Every type of marketing you do, whether it's forums, blogging, articles, facebook, Twitter etc. needs to be targeted.
