Newbe needs help

Hi everyone

to find out if your site is listed on google do put in your domaim name or the title of your website, also how many time do you submit your site to get it listed and for how long. help plz :confused:

    Have you submitted a sitemap to google? Usually thats all it takes.
    If its a wordpress blog, google will often pick it up in a few hours.
    You dont/shouldnt be resubmitting to google.

    You should only submit your website once to the major search engines they will keep crawling it and updating it once it is in their system. As far as looking up your website to see if its listed just type in your domain name in this format http://www.yoursite.com if their are links for your website indexed yet you can tell by doing that.

    You can also see if your ranking for your keywords from your meta tags if your title is not very competitive you could have a decent ranking on Google. If its competitive its gonna take some work learn SEO to rank well for the keyword phrases you are going after!

    To find out if your site is on google do this:

    site: "www.yourdomaingoeshere.com"

    or

    inurl: "www.yourdomainhere.com"

    or

    Just type your web address like the post above suggest.

    These will let you know what has been indexed by google.

    If you want to get your site INDEXED and LISTED by Google etc, dont submit it to the search engines. It will take ages. Get some good backlinks to your site (i.e. myspace, facebook, twitter, technorati, propeller, etc) and you will have your site indexed within 24-48 hours. Let the BOTS find you who crawl the net, they will index your site much quicker!

      The simplest method would be go to submit URL in Google and then submit your URL.

      It will submit it within 2-3 days.
