Calling All Affiliate Marketers & Info Product Marketers...

Hi everyone.

Today I'm looking for a little bit of help or input from my fellow Warriors. I'm doing a little bit of research for a new product, and would love to get the input of everyone here...

Basically, I'd like to know what are your biggest hangups when it comes to get the essential pages online for your info marketing or affiliate business.

From my time as a designer for the IM market, I know many people struggle with some of the basics, but i'd like to hear more about what you specifically struggle with...

Here are the kind of things I'd like to know, but if you are struggling with other issues relating to getting your sites online I'd love to hear those too:

- Do you struggle to create effective squeeze pages/sales pages/review sites?
- Do you wish you could create sales pages which are formatted with nice looking text/headlines/subheadlines and product info boxes?
- What about upsell and downsell pages?
- Do you want to setup a funnel to increase your profits but don't know how or where to start?
- Do you struggle to create nice looking pages without using being a designer or using software like photoshop?
- Do you struggle to create multiple squeeze pages/variations for testing?
- Are you struggling to know how to hook up all the pages together in your funnel?
- What about content delivery - do you struggle to know how to deliver your content/products for maximum impact and value?
- What kind of other pages are you having trouble designing/creating in your business?

I'd love to hear how you feel about the issues above or anything related to getting your affiliate or info product pages online. If someone could create a solution to help you with your problems, what would it look like?

I'd like to give something back to thank you for making the effort to help with this, so when the product is ready, I will be selecting a few of the most helpful responders with an offer to beta test our product, so please let me know if you'd also be interested in this when you post!

Thanks!
~James Dyson

    Hi James,

Thank God I am good with page creations... But one thing I always stuggle with
is when I try to create variations for Split-testing... the variable copy and options
    like that...
    so from you list...
Do you struggle to create multiple squeeze pages/variations for testing?
    YES!

Here is a little tip, just look at the new launches and your see loads of variations and different words being used. You could also look at some of the marketers here, click through to there sig and take a look at there squeeze pages, I am sure most have them . Variation is simple, it could be just changing a few words or changing a colour, hope it helps.

Thanks Mohsin. So at the moment are you just creating one version of your squeeze page and sticking with that?

Would you test different designs and copy combinations if you could easily create the pages?

For now, if I was you i'd still take the time to duplicate one of the squeeze pages you have and just switch the copy a little to see if you can boost the response - and use Google Website Optimizer to test it all easily

    Thanks for your response

James, I love creating stuff, but when it comes to create the variation of same page
for split testing it seems to my a lot of work... maybe a boring work...

Yeah I have used Google Website Optimizer but sometime I just do not want to have
Javascript at my sites (strange feelings LOL!)

You're right it's not the most glamorous thing to be doing...which is why i think so many people don't bother.

We'd certainly like to help make this process easier...

Does anyone else have any thoughts on these problems?

    Thanks

  • When working with an ecommerce site that requires registration to purchase, having the email address and name automatically added to your auto-responder service. I always outsource this work as I have no clue how to do it.

Do you struggle to create effective squeeze pages/sales pages/review sites?

I'll go with this one. I have an ebook and a membership course and my conversion rates aren't great for either. I'm not in the IM niche for these products so I'm not sure what angle to take with the sales pitch.

      James,

For a start, I would say:

Do you struggle to create effective squeeze pages/sales pages/review sites?

Yes, I do find it a struggle and to make the matter worse, I am no designer either.

thanks for your responses, this is all very helpful. Also thanks butters for the tip - that's definately a great way to get new material for your own "Swipe file" which you can then use to improve your own marketing material.

thanks for your responses and keep them coming.

Creating nice looking page without using Photoshop.

This is something I have a very hard time doing, making it look as good as I think it needs to be to look professional.

Photoshop has a steep learning curve and I just don't have the time to learn it.

Nice site layout, Nice header and logo are always lacking for me.

Would love to try your new product if and when its available.

      Mm

Thanks Mm, I do think from the people I've spoken to, that many people struggle to make their sites and pages look good without any knowledge of photoshop which I know has a fairly steep learning curve.

Thanks everyone else for the contributions so far - it's helpful to know my own ideas about what people are struggling with don't seem too far off the mark
