I know we have some Twitter experts on here. Dana, Jay, Willie and others.

What Twitter tools do you use and do you have any suggestions for those of us just starting on building our followers list.

A lot of people use Tweetlater so that they can automatically send a message whenever someone signs up to follow them. Tip: Do NOT send a "thank you for following" message with an affiliate link in it! God, I hate that.

Tweetlater can also be set so that it automatically follows people back.

And putting your Twitter name in your Warrior Forum signature line is a great way to start getting followers. I took mine out temporarily because my signature was getting too crowded.

I like Free Twitter Backgrounds from TwitterBacks.com (not affiliated & free) for a quick way to distinguish/brand your profile.

You can see one in use here Twitter / TomDean

Notice all the white space in the left graphic still left to be used.

Anyway quick way to get a background if you don't have time to photoshop your own.

Here are some solid tools:

Tweetdeck Desktop based, best tool for watching what is going on with Twitter, including searches and other awesome tools.

Twitter Keys - Add cool graphics to your Tweets.

Other than Tweetlater, those are my favorites

  I found a really cool source yesterday called Twitter Alerts - TweetBeep.com
  
  it's like Google alerts except its for twitter. Whenever somebody tweets about a keyword you select you'll be notified via e-mail.
  
  It's a great way to see who's talking about you, your business,products and services, or your competition.
